The Cubot X15 comes with a metallic design that takes a page from Apple’s book and shines with a thin chassis with a metallic finish all over. The 2.5D glasss of the display is curved a bit on the sides and comes with extra durability and resistance to scratches. The entire body of the Cubot X15 is made out of steel that is supposedly almost as light and strong as aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, like the materials Microsoft, Apple and others use when creating their durable devices. The speakers on the bottom and the chamfered edges of the phone do feel very premium, especially accompanied by the slim bezels that surround the entire display.
Display-wise, the Cubot X15 comes with a 5.5 inch FHD display that has a 1920*1080 resolution. If you do the math, ppi pixel density will be equal to that of the iPhone 6 Plus, namely 401 ppi pixel density. The touch screen is not as good, though, as usually these phones come with 5-point multitouch screens instead of 10-point ones that are found on mainstream flagship devices. That shouldn’t pose that big of a problem though, as the user experience doesn’t really rely on 10-point multitouch. Android 5.1 Lollipop and 4G LTE come on board the device, making it as future-proof as possible.
Performance-wise, the Cubot X15 comes with a MediaTek MTK6735, which is a rather capable processor found in devices from Doogee, Mstar, Mlais and tons more. It’s a good CPU, and backed by 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage, it handles any kind of usage patterns fairly well. The 2750 mAh battery might be a bit too small for the large display, so I wouldn’t expect an awesome battery life out of this one. But I would expect one day of decent usage to be a standard measure after a month or two of usage. Once I get my hands on the Cubot X15, I’ll be sure to detail this aspect of its feature list. Twitter, on the other hand, asserted that a maximum of 5% of its users were bots, which is still a significant percentage but not nearly as bad as Musk alleges.
Twitter has the right to sue Musk due to the original conditions of the agreement in an effort to have him complete the transaction. Musk had planned to go to court and attempt to avoid the situation up until this morning. But now that we have this SEC filing, something must have changed.
