MeeGopad – the round Mini PC

Decorating your living room or TV room is a true challenge, especially since chosing technology based on design is quite a hard task to complete. There are few devices out there that look fashionable and can do their job at the same time. We’ve come across one of our favorite Mini PC units so far in the form of the funnily named MeeGopad Mini PC. This round flying saucer lookalike is actually a TV box that aims to make your living room as smart as possible.

The round Mini PC is one of the few devices out there that employs a more circular shape, which is why it’s one of my favorites. For those of you bored with all the rectangular designs going on (smartphones, smart watches, TV boxes, charging pads, charging stations, etc), the MeeGopad is a great way to try something new.

Running on a full Windows 10 OS, it’s one of the few devices that come with Microsoft’s OS out of the box. The Windows 10 Mini PC features a round design with all the ports hidden in the back and a nice touch button up front replacing the good-old clicky power button. In the back, the ports are as follows: 2 USB ports, one USB 3.0 and one 2.0, audio jack, HDMI out, reset slot, RJ45 ethernet port and power port. There’s also a microSD card slot hidden on the side of the device for extra storage expansion.

Under the hood, the Mini PC comes with an Intel Atom Cherry Trail X5-Z8300 CPU, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, XBMC support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and Intel HD graphics for great 1080p video playback. Moreover, once you connect the Mini PC to its dedicated app, you can use your smartphone’s display as a remote control, which is pretty neat.

Although the MeeGopad Mini PC is not the most powerful or special device on the market, it’s certainly among the few that stand out with their design elements. I really like the round design and the fact that Windows 10 comes preinstalled only adds to the benefits of the device as a whole.
