Xbox One Twitch app gives you credit for watching Tomb Raider streams

Rise of the Tomb Raider was launched yesterday on Xbox One and it came with two interesting features. First “let the hunger games begin”. Gamers who broadcast their Rise of the Tomb Raider gameplay on Twitch, while in expedition mode, can expect interference from their viewers. All Twitch users on any platform have the ability of controlling the game by choosing between expedition cards through votes, cards that will make the game either easier or more challenging.

Prepare to be the mastermind behind making Tomb Raider more unpredictable for your favorite Twitch broadcaster. Second, for those who view streams via the Xbox One Twitch app will now get rewarded from simply watching streams. Every Xbox One Twitch viewer will receive a 30-day redeemable gift card consisting in 500 in-game credits. The gift card will be received by the Twitch app user when the streamer does certain things in Rise of the Tomb Raider campaign.

The broadcaster has to take side missions or challenges, challenge Tombs or earn specific achievements. If you are a Xbox One viewer you should probably tell or control the streamer to do these specific things so you can earn your gift. Also the broadcast of the Rise of the Tomb Raider should be made through the Xbox One Twitch app for you to actually consider receiving the credit.

By all means the new features introduced with the launch of Rise of the Tomb Raider on Xbox One are either for Xbox One users or for everyone. To be clear gift cards are only for Xbox One viewers that watch a stream made through the Xbox One Twitch app while the ability to interact with the Expedition mode will be available to any Twitch user.

Who doesn’t enjoy listening to a good story. Personally I love reading about the people who inspire me and what it took for them to achieve their success. As I am a bit of a self confessed tech geek I think there is no better way to discover these stories than by reading every day some articles or the newspaper . My bookcases are filled with good tech biographies, they remind me that anyone can be a success. So even if you come from an underprivileged part of society or you aren’t the smartest person in the room we all have a chance to reach the top. The same message shines in my beliefs. All it takes to succeed is a good idea, a little risk and a lot of hard work and any geek can become a success. VENI VIDI VICI .

PlayStation Studios PC sales were announced in Sony’s Business Segment Meeting, along with PSVR2 sales, PS Plus numbers, and major PS5 game release dates.

Spider-Man Remastered and The Last of Us: Part 1 led the pack with 1.5 million and 368K sales, respectively. Maybe it was worthwhile.

Sony expects this trend to continue (see that graph!). and will remain bullish on PC ports (quietly jacking prices in some places), but has stated that PS5 is the priority. The PlayStation Showcase, less than 24 hours away, may bring more PC announcements.

PlayStation Studios’ PC success—what do you think?

PlayStation Studio’s arcade expert is Housemarque, the Finnish developer of Returnal and Resogun. Since joining the first-party family, the company has grown to 110 people, with that number likely to increase as it prepares for whatever comes next (though they don’t make sequels).

Housemarque had 80 employees when acquired and will likely grow. We’re glad Housemarque is rising. After all, the genre’s top developer famously declared arcade games dead not long ago.

Are you excited to see a successful Housemarque? Hope it stays retro?
