Rumor: Apple Watch & iPad Out In September, iPhone 12 Event Pushed To October

Rumor: Apple Watch & iPad Out In September, iPhone 12 Event Pushed To October

We’ve known for a while now that a delay in the release of some of Apple’s products was going to happen, and the company recently revealed that the iPhone 12 models will be releasing “a few weeks later” than usual. While no specifics were given, thanks to a prominent leaker we have some new information to share with you.

A new leak from Jon Prosser claims that the event for the iPhone 12 will be happening the week of October 12th, with pre-orders coming later that week and shipments the week after that. Knowing this, it seems likely that they will hold the event on October 13th (a Tuesday), accept pre-orders on October 16th and then shipments begin going out on October 23rd.

It’s worth mentioning that this will only be for some of the planned iPhone 12 models, which will likely be the standard ones. Prosser claimers that the higher-end iPhone 12 Pro models will not be coming until some point in November.

Interestingly, Prosser also claims that Apple will release the Apple Watch Series 6 and a new iPad during the week of September 7th. This would be a departure from what Apple typically does, as usually the Apple Watch and iPhones are revealed at the same time. However, considering all of the shakeups that have happened this year due to the coronavirus, anything is possible this point.

Of course, this all needs to be taken with a grain of salt for the time being, because it isn’t official information from Apple and Prosser hasn’t always hit the nail on the head with his leaks. We’ll keep you posted as more information becomes available.
