The Apple Watch already has a variety of different health features that have proven to be life-saving in some instances, and that list of features will only grow as time goes on. While the Apple Watch Series 6 is set to launch later this year, Apple is apparently currently testing yet another feature for a future iteration of the popular smartwatch.
Tipster Komiya has gone on record saying that Apple is currently working on blood pressure detection for the Apple Watch, though it is in the very early stages and is inaccurate at the time being. This means that you shouldn’t expect it to be released with the Apple Watch Series 6 later this year, and it remains to be seen if it will even be ready for what presumably will be called the Series 7.
Still, there are expected to be some great new additions to the feature list with the release of the Apple Watch Series 6 later this year. Several reports have come out saying that it will have blood oxygen monitoring, built-in sleep tracking, and more. If you’re someone that is at all health-conscious, then the Apple Watch is definitely an excellent choice.
Information on the blood pressure feature needs to be taken with a grain of salt considering it isn’t coming directly from Apple, but the source has proven reliable in the past. As always, we’ll keep you posted as more information becomes available.
