This week is going to be a really good one for all those who have purchased Mario Kart 8, the latest entry of the Mario Kart series now available on Wii U in all regions. The game will receive a new update which will introduce a notable new feature, the incredibly fast 200cc class which will force players to find new ways to approach the tracks but also fail harder than before since the higher speed is really no joke. Those who have also purchased the second DLC pack for the game will have one more reason to be happy as it will be released this week alongside the new free update. The pack include new characters, new tracks and new vehicles.
If all this Mario Kart goodiness isn’t enough to sate your hunger for kart racing, you will be delighted to know that a classic Mario Kart game is going to be released on Wii U through the eShop this Thursday in Europe.
Mario Kart: Super Circuit, also known as Mario Kart Advance, is the GameBoy Advance entry of the series, which has been originally released back in 2001 in all regions. As in the other entries of the series, players will have to pick a character from a roster including mainstays of the Super Mario series such as Mario himself, his brother Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad, Bowser, Wario and others, choose a vehicle and race on several unique tracks. The game includes several trademark items that can be used as weapons such as shells, bananas, Invincibility Stars, and others. Players can also collect coins during races to increase their maximum speed, something that really makes the difference in faster classes.
Mario Kart: Super Circuit will be released on the European Wii U eShop this Thursday, April 23rd. The game is already available on the North American eShop, as it has been released last November in the region’s eShop.
