Scott Cawthon just loves messing with his fans. A new image has appeared on his website teasing Five Nights At Freddy’s 4, so here comes the inevitable analysis.

Five Nights At Freddy's 4

Like the first teaser image from last month – and by last month, I mean 10 days ago – the image carries an October 31 (Halloween) date. The text presumably is hinting that this game will reveal who’s really behind the haunted animatronics, although solid answers from Scott Cawthon may be too much to wish more.

Since Five Nights At Freddy’s 3, we’ve learned more about the animatronics, which are haunted by the spirits of murdered children. Minigames in between the five nights indicated the murderer, who is always shown in purple, hid inside the Springtrap animatronic to escape the ghosts of the children and subsequently got himself killed. The image on Cawthon’s site is by no means clear, but, at least at first glance, it appears to be Springtrap, as is shown by the second jaw. Or it could be Freddy. Or Foxy. Or any of them, really.

Several fans have already flocked to adjusting the image to find any extra hints. Cawthon has a tradition of hiding extra messages inside images, and this one is no exception. A brightened version of the image shows the word “NIGHTMARE” scribbled all over. It’s hard to make out, but it’s there, I promise.

5 Nights At Freddy's 4 Brightened

Brightening the image also reveals more of the animatronic, making it clearer that it’s most likely Springtrap. Given that Springtrap is supposedly confirmed as being haunted by the murderer, this makes the text even more interesting. Maybe Five Nights At Freddy’s 4 is going to cast doubt on the conclusion drawn at the end of the last game.

And is it just me, or does Springtrap look a little Scissorhands-esque here? His fingers look more like bibs and bobs you’d find lying around on the Enterprise than the stuff animatronics would be made from.

Several videos have already popped up on YouTube with fans going through what they think this latest image means.

Rhiannon likes video games and she likes writing, so she decided to combine them. As well as writing about video games, she also belts out the occasional science fiction or fantasy story, edits videos, and eats strawberry oreos. In that order.

Bend Studio, the development team behind Days Gone, is expanding their staff for an exciting new project in the world of AAA live service gaming

Sony’s Bend Studios is expanding its team for another high-profile game, signaling PlayStation’s ongoing pursuit of the live service trend. When we last heard from the Oregan-based developer of Days Gone, Bend expressed their anticipation and confidence in their upcoming project, suggesting that it would propel the studio to new heights.

By way of Eurogamer, the studio has alerted us to this most recent update. It appears that a recruitment ad has been recently posted on the company’s website. Bend is looking for a lead project manager who can effectively manage project scope based on current team velocities and milestone schedules. The role requires hands-on game development experience in leadership roles, specifically in shipping AAA live-service games. Specifically, the ideal candidate should possess a proven ability to transform game development studios from a traditional focus on boxed products to dynamic live service development, all while holding a key leadership position.

It’s worth noting that while a service game out of Bend has the potential to be great, it’s important to acknowledge the numerous failed attempts in recent history. Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve reported on a cancelled Spider-Man game, rumors of an online Twisted Metal project, and a fantasy co-op game that got axed when London Studio shut down. And mind you, that’s just scratching the surface of what Sony has been up to. Choosing to take a chance with a studio that specializes in single-player games seems questionable, to say the least.

Determining the precise nature of the PS5 game INDIKA seems to be an arduous task; hence, we will rely on the aforementioned video to convey the most information. This video game, which will debut on May 8th, 2024, follows a young nun on a journey of self-discovery with the devil. The reader will be transported to the 19th century inside an alternate Russia, where the conflict between religious visions and brutal reality is explored in a third-person adventure that is expected to leave a lasting impression.

INDIKA originates from the studio Odd Meter, which was located in Russia during the invasion of Ukraine in early 2022. Due to the combination of physical fear and moral challenges, the crew decided to go to Kazakhstan. Children affected by the incursion into Ukraine will receive a portion of the game’s revenue as donations to charities.

The captivating game is scheduled to be released on the PS5 in May, coinciding with a time of relatively low activity in the release schedule. Are you planning to examine it? Please inform us in the comments section below.

In general, Korean developers are known for frequently announcing highly ambitious MMOs that often fail to materialize as promised. While maintaining a critical perspective, it’s hard not to question whether Chrono Odyssey will fit into that category. This new trailer from Kakao Games has been generating a lot of buzz for its captivating dark fantasy atmosphere. However, it’s worth noting that the trailer doesn’t showcase any gameplay footage or provide a release date.

“Chrono Odyssey takes players on an extraordinary adventure through a sprawling fantasy realm, where they will embark on thrilling quests, engage in dynamic battles, and unravel a captivating narrative,” states the press release. “Chrono Odyssey sets out to revolutionize the MMORPG genre with its breathtaking visuals, courtesy of Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5. The game offers extensive character customization options and captivating gameplay mechanics, promising players an immersive and unforgettable experience that will stand the test of time.”

Without a specified release date or gameplay details, it’s difficult to form a solid opinion on this title. However, it is worth noting that it is being developed for the PS5. It’s worth monitoring this one, but don’t get your hopes up for a quick release.
