Destiny Players unlock the secret of the Trials of Osiris

Destiny players find a secret treasure chest and social area after winning 9 rounds in the Trials of Osiris

Today another record was beaten and a mystery was unraveled in Destiny in the Trials of Osiris the latest multiplayer even Destiny that arrived with the House of Wolves. The Trials of Osiris pits teams of three against each other in the most grueling Crucible event yet all for the promise of top tier rewards. Reach that top tier loot is a real struggle with the most competitive Destiny players rushing into the even for their chance at it. The event is unlike anything gamers have run into before in Bungie’s latest shooter.

What makes the Trials of Osiris so unique is that players go into it with item called a Trials passage that works as their scorecard. The Trials Passage keeps a record of a players wins and losses, allowing players to earn greater rewards with the more wins they have on their card. Where things get rough is that after three loses players are kicked out of the event and have to buy a new Trials Passage, starting all over.

Until now what the rewards for racking up wins in the Trials of Osiris was a bit of mystery, all we knew for sure is that after five wins players could get an armor piece. In classic style though Bungie hinted that there was something greater waiting for teams that could make it all the way to nine wins. They refused to say what the reward might be but the fact they specifically mentioned nine wins made it too exciting not to reach for. Now that the event has officially started one team was determined to solve the mystery and surprisingly they did.

A team of high leveled players has won their 9 matches receiving a message that they had completed a flawless victory and that they won access to a secret area. The team posted a video on YouTube showing that after winning 9 matches in the Trials of Osiris a new area appeared on the Destiny world map called ‘The Lighthouse’. This special area is located on the planet Mercury, a place that Destiny players have never been able to reach besides when they are plying on a special map in the Crucible. The Lighthouse is a sight to behold with a bright burning sun lighting up the entire area.

The Lighthouse has much more going for than being a visual treat though, after landing on it players follow a short path to a giant treasure chest. Similar to the one found at the end of the Prison of Elders it is packed to the gills with fantastic loot. On top of that there is a locked room filled with glimmer and huge areas where it appears players can hang out. Unfortunately the team didn’t narrate their video, they were likely rushing to put it online, so we don’t yet if a key is needed to open the treasure chest in The Lighthouse.

Now that players know what’s out there the Trials of Osiris is sure to be packed with teams trying to pull of a flawless victory of their own. The event runs every week from Friday 10 AM PT to Tuesday 2 AM PT.

If you’ve been keeping up with the new Fallout show on Amazon Prime, chances are you’ve been relying on PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium to access and enjoy one of Bethesda’s legendary RPGs. We decided to bypass the highly acclaimed Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 3, opting instead to explore the vast landscapes of West Virginia in Fallout 76. Infamous for its initial reception, Todd Howard’s “Fallout with Friends” has evolved significantly over the past six years. However, does that imply the game is of high quality? Is it worth playing in 2024?

As we ventured out of Vault 76 for the very first time, we were determined to find the answers to those burning questions. Recalling our escapades on the Push Square YouTube channel, we encountered quest-giving NPCs—a feature that was surprisingly absent upon release—awe-inspiring bases built by fellow players—and an abundance of loot that could easily burden us 76 times over.

In the midst of the vast array of open-world online experiences, we found ourselves quite enthralled by the combination of 50s classics playing in the background as we obliterated the heads of ghouls. And to top it off, we were able to enjoy all of this with our friends. Exploring the wasteland in the company of a ragtag band of survivors adds a unique element to Fallout 76, setting it apart from other games in the series. However, does it manage to prevent us from uninstalling and transitioning to one of the mainline entries in the series? To discover more, be sure to watch the complete video!
