Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain, the latest entry of the series developed by Hideo Kojima and his team now available on consoles and PC, comes with some interesting features that allow players to continue playing the game even after the story has been completed. Thanks to the Forwarding Operating Bases missions, players can invade the FOBs created by other players to steal soldiers and resources. Konami has been trying to keep things fresh with a few special events and the new event starting today will definitely make those who want to build more FOBs happy.
The new Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain FOb event, which will run until November 10th, allows players to obtain one million GMP if they perform a single FOB mission before the end of the event. Also, players will be able to get different amounts of Mother Base coins depending on the Espionage Points obtained from today until November 10th. The maximum amount of Mother Base coins that can be obtained through the event is 200, which is awarded to those who obtain 200.000 or more Espionage Points before the end of the event.
Even though the game is a very good stealth game, some have been disappointed by Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain mostly due to the way the story has been presented and the huge amount of cut content discovered through data mining. Some of the content discovered this way is actually still included in the game, such as the Nuclear Disarmament ending and another cutscene related to it.
Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain is now available in all regions on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. We will let you know more about upcoming updates and DLC packs as soon as more news come on them so stay tuned for all the latest news on Hideo Kojima’s latest game.
