Good news from Hellcase is on the horizon for European CSGO teams looking to make it big.
The Russian Computer Sports Federation has announced that in cooperation with UCC Studio and Hellcase.com, they will be hosting a Hllcase Cup each month from April to July. Each cup will have $10,000 to offer as well as a spot to the European WCA qualifier.
The tournament will have a series of three, best-of-one, open preliminary qualifiers on Faceit. The pre-qualifier winners will move on to the closed qualifiers with the runners-up going head to head in a round-robin stage to determine who will move up with the winners.
The four teams in the closed qualifier will go against four invited teams in a single-elimination bracket. The two finalists will then advance to the Main Stage where they will be joined by six more invited teams in a BO3 round-robin stage with two groups.
The top two teams from both groups will advance further to the “Final Stage” where they will participate in a single-elimination, BO3 bracket. Teams wishing to register must head here or check out the FAQ videos in English and Russian for more help.
It’s a fresh sight to see smaller cups being created for up-and-coming teams who have a real chance at becoming the next superstars. The last cup, Hellcase Cup #3, saw the Polish roster of Team Kinguin come out on top after defeating Team Spirit and took home the $6000 grand prize. No teams have been announced for Hellcase Cup #4.
