The Nintendo Switch had a very solid development throughout the year. It became one of the most successful video game consoles of the year. So much so that it almost broke the number of units sold at launch marked by the PlayStation 2 many years ago.
However, with the Switch having some issues (Namely their storage and support). People question whether or not the Nintendo Switch will continue to bring the thunder in 2018. Maybe, especially considering this “Leak” made by Amazon.
As some users from ResetEra discovered, Amazon made 18 unreleased Switch titles available on their storefront. Every single one is found at a price range between $59.99 USD and $99.99 USD. They also have a release date of December 2019.
I can assume that the games with the $99.99 USD price tag are games that will be using 64 GB cartridges, which will be coming by next year. However, when you go looking for them on the Amazon Pre-Release section, you’ll see that only Project Octopath Traveller is listed.
The image provided below shows the result of the search at the time ResetEra found the leak. The first thing people might notice is the lack of a box art, this also applies to Project Octopath Traveller’s listing. The listing only shows the Nintendo Switch Logo and a reference to a Nintendo Switch Event.
A lot of people have speculated that this leak is due to a Nintendo Direct that’s going to happen in January. This is thanks to this and another leak that has shown that the Nintendo Direct got its information leaked back in November.
This other leak states that we’ll be getting more information from the Electronic Arts game Fe. That said however, there isn’t anything downright stated by either of the parties involved so we must encourage you to take this with a huge grain of salt, as there have been leaks of other games and movies that have been proven wrong.
