The horror game Agony has been one of the more controversial releases in gaming in recent memory, with the game having to be tweaked by the developer to avoid getting an AO-rating by the ESRB. The developer was able to successfully tweak the game to get an M-rating on all supported platforms, and now a release date has been set.
Madmind Studio has announced that Agony will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on May 29th. A release date announcement trailer was also released, which you can check out at the bottom of this post.
For those unfamiliar with the game, the following is an overview from the Agony Steam Page:
“You will begin your journey as a tormented soul within the depths of hell, without any memories about your past.
The special ability to control people on your path, and even possess simple minded demons, gives you the necessary measures to survive in the extreme conditions you are in.
By exploring the hostile environment and interacting with other weary souls of the hellscape, the hero will soon understand that there is only one way to escape from Hell, and it will require meeting the mystical Red Goddess.”
Agony is being developed by Madmind Studio for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Be sure to check out the game’s release date announcement trailer below.
