Microsoft certainly doesn’t have a whole lot of exclusives to bank on these days, and the couple that released this year didn’t exactly wow anyone. Crackdown 3 was set to be another big one from the company this year, but now it has been revealed that it won’t be out this year at all.
Microsoft revealed the news in a statement to Windows Central, revealing that more information will be coming during the E3 2018 press conference. They said the following:
“Our fans’ response to the signature antics and explosive gameplay of Crackdown 3 has been incredible. To ensure we deliver the experience they deserve, Crackdown 3 will be launching in Feb 2019. We look forward to sharing more on Crackdown 3 this Sunday during the Xbox E3 2018 briefing.”
Delays are never a fun thing to hear for gamers, but unfortunately have become way too common in the industry. However, considering the lack of information on the game in recent months, this delay isn’t all that surprising. The game was announced back at E3 2014, originally being given a 2016 release window.
Crackdown 3 will release for Xbox One and PC in February 2019. We’ll bring you more information on the game following Microsoft’s E3 2018 press conference.
