The wait for the next installment in the Super Smash Bros. series has been a brutal one, with the revelation that the game would include every character ever featured in the series ramping up anticipation. While we still have a while before the game releases, we’ll be getting more information very soon.
Nintendo has announced that they will be hosting another Direct presentation this week, bringing even more information on the upcoming fighting game. The Direct is set to air on August 8th, and the following are all of the times broken up by time zone:
7:00 A.M. PT
10:00 A.M. ET
11:00 P.M. JST
4:00 P.M. CEST
3:00 P.M. BST
This new Direct presentation will be hosted by Masahiro Sakurai himself, who is the game’s director and creator of this long-running series. As for what can be expected from this presentation, it’s likely that we’ll be getting a deeper a look at the gameplay and the changes that have been made since the last installment.
Also, the company has been teasing that there are even more characters that are set to be added to the game’s roster. While we know that every character that has ever been featured in the game will be included, there will also be some new additions that have never been playable before. The first one we know about is Metroid’s Ridley, but there are even more in the pipeline. There are many fans hoping that Waluigi will finally be playable, with many being disappointed that he was announced as being a part of the roster initially.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will launch exclusively for Switch on December 7th.
