Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to launch later this month on PS4 and Xbox One, and all reports suggest that the game is going to be massive. It’s so massive, in fact, that it’s looking like the game is going to release on two discs according to the Japanese PS4 box art.
We learned recently that the game’s download file size is huge, but having the game release on multiple discs is something that people really weren’t talking about leading up to launch. Of course, we need to wait on the official confirmation from Rockstar Games, as nothing is official at this point. You can view the image of the Japanese box art that shows an image indicating that the game has two discs below.
The PS4 digital download size was recently revealed as being around 105 GB, which doesn’t even include the day one patch. The Xbox One version is expected to be in the same ballpark, though reports suggest that one being closer to 90 GB. It’s an open-world game from a developer who is known for making some of the biggest and feature-rich open-worlds on the market, so massive file sizes are to be expected.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 26th.
