A Nintendo Switch emulator called Yuzu has been available for a while now, and lots of work has been done to make Super Mario Odyssey playable on it. It was reported recently that the emulator was able to run the game to a certain extent, but now it has been revealed that it can run the game in full.
The announcement was made by BSoD Gaming, releasing a video confirming that the game is playable from start to finish. The game doesn’t run 100% smoothly, but it nevertheless will allow PC gamers to check out one of the best games of recent memory. A lot of work has been done to make lots of Switch games playable through this emulator, including the likes of ARMS, Octopath Traveler and Puyo Puyo Tetris.
Super Mario Odyssey launched in Switch’s first year, releasing in October 2017. The game received universal praise, becoming one of the highest-reviewed games of all time. It likely would have swept just about every game of the year award there was if its wasn’t for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which was a launch title for the Switch and also received rave reviews.
