Despite the Switch being a smash hit for Nintendo, there are still some features that are surprisingly absent from the console. One such feature is a native YouTube app, which has surprisingly been absent since the console’s launch in March of last year. However, it looks like the app may finally be coming to the console very soon if a leaked image is to be believed.
NintendHOME spotted that Nintendo put an image showing the app on their own website, though this has since been taken down. While this was obviously a mistake, the image revealed that the app is set to debut on November 8th. Nintendo likely meant to make an official announcement for this rather than just having a random image on the website first, so don’t be surprised if we hear something from them relatively soon.
Having the YouTube app on Switch would be an excellent addition to the console that owners have been wanting for a while now. While you can set it up to view the app through your TV, the fact that you’ll also have the ability to watch videos on the go is a huge perk.
We’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.
