Dragon Age 4 was officially announced during The Game Awards 2018, though very little information was actually revealed. A 1-minute teaser trailer was released during the event, which features a series of vague imagery followed with voice over saying “So, you’ve found me at last. I suspect you have questions.” This is then followed by the hashtag “#TheDreadWolf Rises.”
Any one who has played the previous game in the series, Inquisition, will know that this seems to pick up where that one left off.
Dragon Age: Inquisition ended with player companion character Solas being revealed to actually be the Elven god of betrayal Fen’Harel, who is also known as the Dread Wolf. This character (unsurprisingly) betrays the player, and it looks like this game will show that character’s rise to power. It looks like we’re gearing up for a story including the player recruiting new allies to help take down an old ally, otherwise Fen’Harel will likely destroy the world.
The game was not given an official title or gameplay, so it remains Dragon Age 4 in the meantime. The developer said recently that the game is still a long time from releasing, and the very little shown in the teaser seems to confirm that. You can check out the brief teaser trailer below, and we’ll bring you more information as it becomes available.
