Red Dead Redemption 2 Release Date Possibly Leaked

Red Dead Redemption 2 Release Date Possibly Leaked

March 30, 2017

Read Dead Redemption 2 is set to be the next big open world title from the masters of sandbox mayhem, Rockstar Games. All we have gotten in terms of information on the game thus far is from the teaser trailer released last year. Well now, thanks to Polish online retailer Media Markt, we may have a possible release date. Media Markt listed the release date to be October 3rd which caught the attention of Polish website CD-Action. CD-Action then sought out confirmation with the retailer and was told that Red Dead Redemption 2’s distributor had given the date to them.

It did not take long after that for Media Markt’s PR to contact CD-Action to say there had been a mistake and the person who contacted them before was also mistaken. The website was then changed to show Red Dead Redemption 2’s release date to be December 31, its placeholder date.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most highly anticipated games, which is understandable given the developer’s universal success with games like the first Red Dead Redemption and the Grand Theft Auto series. The original RDR was exclusive to consoles – in particular, Xbox 360 and PS3. It was announced last year that RDR2 will be on PS4 and Xbox One so it seems to be boycotting the PC as far as we know. This is an all too familiar sight for PC players, as the first game also did not make its way over and many fans are still hoping for a desktop release all these years later. There is already a petition for Red Dead Redemption 2 to release on PC. GTA V got a late release on PC so let’s hope that Red Dead 2 will get a similar treatment.

Do you think this release date is likely to be the real thing? Or do you think it was simply just a mistake?

Born in London but really from Gloucestershire, UK, which if you haven't heard of is basically exactly the same as The Shire from LOTR. I have been known to play guitar like the true reincarnation of Jimi Hendrix in my youth, but nowadays i play more video games than music. My love of gaming started back in the old Sega Arcades where i would often shoot zombies in House Of The Dead 2. Also when any RPG comes out i have to play it instantly. Without Hesitation.
