Seeso: NBC’s comedy streaming service beta sign-up

Some good comedy never ruined anybody’s time, except when it is bad comedy, but that is not the case here. In October, Seeso announced that they are making a streaming comedy channel, which is set to be launched in January 2016. The Seeso service will be available through their website and it will cost $3.99 per month and eventually it will be available on some streaming services and devices.

As NBC doesn’t want to make us wait until the beginning of 2016, they have announced that they will give a free month trial for users starting from the 3rd of December and the streaming comedy channel already has in plan shows from US and UK like ‘Monty Python’s Flying Circus’, ‘Parks & recreation’ and many more, but they have also promised that they will add fresh content every day.

Laughs are contagious and a comedy streaming service is most definitely going to be highly appreciated by people and gain popularity fast. The combination of comedy classics like 30 Rock with original comedy series and exclusive content only available on Seeso, makes the monthly price seem insignificant in comparison to all those evenings you’ll spend laughing with your friends and family.

That free one month of Seeso streaming service is actually the official beta launch, which will be available only on the web. The beta Seeso membership number is limited and based on a first come, first served system. If you want to try out the streaming service before its release, go to Seeso and sign up with your e-mail address. If you’re lucky, you’ll get access to the comedy streaming service right for the Christmas Holiday.

According to a recent report, Sony is currently engaged in discussions with a well-funded partner to potentially acquire the renowned film studio Paramount, along with all the exciting possibilities that come with such a merger.

As reported in the New York Times (thanks, ResetEra), Sony Picture Entertainment is reportedly in discussions with Apollo Global Management, an investment firm, as per two sources familiar with the matter. In the past, Apollo had made an offer to acquire Paramount for a minimum of $26 billion, but their bid was ultimately turned down.

The terms of the joint bid are currently under discussion, and there is a chance that the two parties may decide against making a formal offer. Unnamed sources have revealed that Paramount is currently in exclusive discussions with Skydance, preventing any official offer from being made at this time. Investor opposition to the recent deal that Skydance brought seems to have been significant.

The potential impact of such an acquisition is immense. First and foremost, it would introduce adaptations of Sonic and Halo into the expanding media empire of the PlayStation platform holder. Following the announcement, Paramount’s stock experienced a significant 11% surge in after-hours trading.
