The PS5 file size of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is ridiculous
You’ll need enough storage to play Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on PS5 later this month. According to PlayStation Game Size, the PS5 action game weighs 147GB. One of Sony’s current-gen console’s largest file sizes.
If you follow the news, that number shouldn’t surprise you. EA and Respawn Entertainment announced the game’s PC specs two weeks ago, including a 155GB install size.
We didn’t expect the PS5 version to be so storage-hungry. As mentioned in our previous article, most “AAA” games are 40–80GB. Survivor’s doubling those numbers will raise eyebrows.
Will this require SSD space?
The latest trailer for Sony Pictures Entertainment’s CGI film Resident Evil: Death Island, released July 25, features the outlandish action and melodrama that made the franchise a cult sensation.
This Resident Evil Avengers-esque team-up features Leon S. Kennedy, Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, Claire Redfield, and Rebecca Chambers.
The T-Virus and killer whales take the gang to Alcatraz in San Francisco Bay, where a new nightmare awaits. In magnificent slow motion and with progressively heavier ordinance, the Dream Team will supposedly destroy zombies, Lickers, mutant orcas, and anything else foolish or nasty enough to stand in their path.
Sony’s PS5 firmware update is everyone’s favorite news story. It’s been a while, but don’t get too excited—this is just a minor one. No biggie.
PS5 system software 23.01-07.40.00 does what? Latest firmware patch notes:
- System software performance and stability increased.
- We improved screen messaging and usability.
That’s it! Sony’s definition of “some screens” is unclear, but perhaps it improves communications. PS5 messages weren’t a problem, though. The update is barely over 1GB, so updating your console won’t take long.

Konami explained that “we chose Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater because it depicts the birth of Big Boss (Naked Snake), which is the starting point of the Metal Gear series.” Fans wishing it would last forever contributed.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, yes? Maybe you’ll buy another disc to show Konami you’ll pay again?
