Noire

A lot of rumors were foreshadowing it, and now it’s a reality. L.A. Noire, the best Detective RPG developed by Rockstar will make a triumphant return. The game originally developed by Team Bondi will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in November 2017.

The differences between this and the remaster will include various improvements. Such as illumination, textures and other sorts of visual improvements. This is added to the fact that the HD Remaster will come with support for Xbox One X and PlayStation Pro. In other words, players who look for a 4K experience with this beautiful game will be pleased.

About the Switch version, however. Well, that should be news in and of itself, because this is the first game from Rockstar we see on a Nintendo Console since Chinatown Wars on the DS. There aren’t that many details about any cosmetic differences or if the game will run at 720p or 1080p. But what’s known is that it will use the Touchscreen, gyroscope and the Joy-Con controllers.

This remastered version will also include every DLC case as an added bonus. With that said, Rockstar hasn’t mentioned much in regards to the price of L.A. Noire.

L.A. Noire In VR?!

However, a bigger surprise is coming for the fans of the RPG. Because there’s a VR experience in the works with the name “L.A. Noire: VR Case Files”. Which will be a re-adaption of 7 different cases in L.A. Noire made for VR, namely the HTC Vive.

L.A. Noire is one of my favorite games of all time. The glorious detective RPG with fantastic music and a re-creation of Los Angeles in the 40s being remastered brings back so many memories. Here’s hoping that L.A. Noire gets enough traction to guarantee a sequel because this game is one that deserves it.

A follow-up tweet from the Belgian developer teases a community update this week that will discuss “some new features” for the game. The Game Awards Will Remove World Premiere Banners

World premiere. You heard The Game Awards’ now-iconic voiceover artist say those two words, right? Host Geoff Keighley says you won’t hear it this year because the organizer has tried to unify all announcements. Thus, it wants world-first trailers alongside deep dives, first looks, etc.

“You’ll see this year, we often put up those cards, ‘world premiere, world premiere’,” he told fans in a livestreamed Q&A. “We’re moving away from that because everything’s ‘is it a first look? An announcement? We consider it all great game content.”

We think this means fewer blockbuster moments, but Keighley denies it. He added, “I don’t know if there will be the same number of world premieres as last year. “Honestly, I haven’t counted. I think similarly but don’t know. I won’t quote a number because it’ll go viral. The show’s length and content are likely similar to previous years.

Keighley said he tried to shorten the show last year, but Chris Judge’s epic God of War Ragnarok acceptance speech extended it. He said, “It’s probably going to be similar to last year with a little bit shorter show.” The Game Awards have been criticized for being too long, but this isn’t a bad thing.
