‘Be There in a Second,’ Said Chvrches, If Kojima Asked to Work on Death Stranding 2

The Scottish synth-pop group CHVRCHES has made it clear that they are prepared and eager to work with Hideo Kojima once more on Death Stranding 2, and they aren’t hesitant to state their objectives.

When asked about working with Kojima once more, synth player Martin Doherty told NME that “there’s nothing formal yet. We’ve discussed it and made it clear that we both want to work together once more. There’s sort of a dance going on right now, Doherty continued, going into further detail. I don’t want to ask directly, “May we be on the game, please?” and get a negative response from [Kojima]. But I’m not sure.

For his part, Kojima is eager as well, but he wants to accomplish something really Kojima-esque in the process. The band appeared as guests on a recent episode of his Brain Structure podcast, and he commented, “It would be fantastic if we could make something work. I want to try something new, something that has never been done before. It’s expected that the game will include one song, right? What if [Chorus] created 100 songs or something like that?

The band CHVRCHES contributed to the original Death Stranding soundtrack, and a significant portion of the game’s advertising featured their song Death Stranding.

Do you wish that these star-crossed actors would just make up and decide to be married in the sequel?

Sony’s PS5 firmware update is everyone’s favorite news story. It’s been a while, but don’t get too excited—this is just a minor one. No biggie.

PS5 system software 23.01-07.40.00 does what? Latest firmware patch notes:

  • System software performance and stability increased.
  • We improved screen messaging and usability.

That’s it! Sony’s definition of “some screens” is unclear, but perhaps it improves communications. PS5 messages weren’t a problem, though. The update is barely over 1GB, so updating your console won’t take long.

Excited for this PS5 update?

Want more classic Metal Gear Solid remakes on PS5? You’ll need to speak Konami’s language—dollar bills—to express your desire.

“Regarding remakes of previous games in the series other than Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, we will listen to player demand and consider accordingly,” a Konami official told IGN.

Konami explained that “we chose Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater because it depicts the birth of Big Boss (Naked Snake), which is the starting point of the Metal Gear series.” Fans wishing it would last forever contributed.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, yes? Maybe you’ll buy another disc to show Konami you’ll pay again?
