Exciting news for PlayStation users: The new Passkey feature on PS5 and PS4 eliminates the need to remember your password
Logging into your PSN account is already quite secure, with two-factor authentication in place (highly recommended to activate if you haven’t yet). If you find it tedious to enter your password repeatedly, there’s good news for you. PlayStation has introduced a new feature that enables users to sign in using a passcode, making it easier to log in without needing to enter a password.
In essence, you have the option to link your PSN account to your phone or PC using a passcode. This allows you to log into your PS5 or PS4 using the more secure methods on your device. For instance, if you utilize Face ID to unlock your iPhone, you have the option to link this security feature for signing into PSN as well. This feature eliminates the necessity of inputting a password.
Setting up the passkey is a breeze. For setting up a passcode on your mobile device, log in to your console and navigate to Settings > Users and Accounts > Account > Security. From there, select Sign In with Password. Upon completion, you will receive a QR code for scanning with your smartphone. You will be directed to a website where you can log in to your PSN account and verify the passcode. After completing that step, log out of your console. Afterward, you will be required to log in again using your new passkey method. Scanning a QR code will open the PlayStation mobile app, allowing you to sign into PSN using your mobile’s security method.
To begin the setup process on your computer, visit the official website, select Activate Now, and then proceed with the instructions provided.
After the setup is complete, accessing PSN will no longer require entering a password. Instead, it will utilize advanced security features such as Face ID, fingerprint recognition, and others. If you prefer, you have the option to manually sign into your PSN account using your password and deactivate the passkey whenever you wish. The passkey provides an extra layer of security since it is unique to you and cannot be easily guessed or reused.
Are you planning to implement a passkey login method on your PS5 or PS4? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.

ReFantazio Takes a Different Approach to Romance, Setting Itself Apart from the Persona Games
Atlus’ highly anticipated RPG, Metaphor: ReFantazio, appears to incorporate familiar systems reminiscent of the developer’s acclaimed Persona series. The game features turn-based battles that heavily rely on exploiting enemy weaknesses. Additionally, players have the ability to summon warrior spirits during combat. However, the most significant aspect of this game, which will be discussed in this article, is the bonding system. Through this system, players can spend time with important characters and gain deeper insights into their personalities and stories.
In contrast to the Persona games, the bonding system ends at that point. Unfortunately, players will be unable to pursue romantic relationships with their beloved waifus, which may come as a disappointment to those who have developed strong feelings for Hulkenberg, the party’s charismatic red-haired elven knight.
According to Siliconera, the absence of romance came up during a recent question and answer session. Atlus emphasized the continued opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with your allies while also introducing additional narratives through substories. In addition, familiarizing yourself with the supporting characters will grant you access to new archetypes, which serve as the game’s character classes.
In the Persona games, romance is not obligatory; rather, it serves as a means to customize your playthrough. However, it is quite unexpected that Metaphor has chosen not to pursue such a venture, considering the significant amount of discussion it typically generates!
Were you anticipating any romantic elements in Metaphor? If you’re not satisfied with your pre-order, feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.
