Street Fighter 6, the highly anticipated brawler from Capcom, is set to receive significant balance adjustments coinciding with the arrival of Akuma on May 22nd. The trailer above offers a glimpse of the latest updates, highlighting the introduction of an exciting new wakeup drive reversal mechanic. This provides players with a valuable tool for countering combos, particularly in situations where they find themselves cornered on the screen.

The trailer showcases a plethora of fresh combat options for almost every character, hinting at potential nerfs to balance out the buffs that are being showcased. It’s safe to say that not everyone will be pleased with the changes, especially if beloved characters are being toned down. However, we’ll have to wait for the response from the competitive community to truly gauge the impact.

The release of Akuma will mark the end of the first season of content for the game, and fans can anticipate an announcement regarding the second season in the coming summer months.

Bandai Namco and FromSoftware just put out a new update for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. You can now download and install it on your PS5 or PS4. It’s called Version 1.12.3, and its main goal is to balance some weapons and attacks by weakening some abilities that are too strong.

The Swift Slash skill does less damage and shows less damage in PvP. On the other hand, the Carian Sorcery Sword’s balance has been fixed, and the Smithscript Dagger and Smithscript Cirque’s throwing attack range has been increased.

Some changes have been made to the balance of the game to fix bugs. For example, the skill Rolling Sparks does less damage now, and the effects of many weapons have been weakened. There are also changes to some bosses, improvements to performance, and bug fixes for things like NPCs not acting the way they should.

The full list of patch notes is shown below. What do you think of the newest DLC update? Leave a comment below and let us know.

    • Feeble Lord’s Frenzied Flame
    • Discus Hurl
  • Fixed a bug where successfully guarding while attacking using the Thrusting Shield weapon type would consume less stamina than intended.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented players from cancelling the attack recovery of two-handed strong attacks by rolling for certain weapons of the Backhand Blades weapon type.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the Lightning Perfume Bottle and Frenzyflame Perfume Bottle weapons to deal double damage under certain circumstances.
  • Fixed a bug where the Arcane scaling of the Bloodfiend’s Arm weapon was higher than intended when setting an affinity. The status buildup of the heavy attack was also reduced.
  • Fixed a bug where the Faith scaling of the Gazing Finger weapon was not being applied correctly.

  • Fixed a bug that caused summoned NPCs to behave differently than expected under certain circumstances.
  • Fixed a bug where the unblockable bite attack of the Golden Hippopotamus boss would connect with players more easily than intended.
  • Fixed a bug that caused text to display differently than expected.
  • Several other performance improvements and bug fixes.

Possible unstable performance fixes

  • Using the “Rebuild Database” option from the device’s safe mode may help the PS5 version of the game’s unstable framerate.
  • In some PC versions, Ray Tracing may be unintentionally enabled and cause unstable performance. Please check the Ray Tracing setting in “System” > “Graphics Settings” > “Raytracing Quality” from the title screen or in-game menu.
  • In the PC Version, the message “Inappropriate activity detected” may appear without cheating.

To fix this issue, please verify the integrity of the game’s files before restarting the game.

  • Third-party applications that regulate mouse behavior may be to blame for the PC version’s unstable framerate. Deactivating these third-party applications may improve performance.

According to a recent report from Rolling Stone, it seems that the TV adaptation of Horizon Zero Dawn has hit a roadblock and will not be progressing any further.

In a recent development, showrunner Steve Blackman has found himself at the center of controversy. Multiple anonymous sources who have collaborated with him on The Umbrella Academy have come forward, accusing him of exhibiting toxic behavior. Blackman’s involvement in various projects, including the Horizon adaptation for PlayStation Productions and Netflix, unfortunately led to their cancellation. As Cheyenne Roundtree reported in a follow-up to the main story:

The upcoming TV series based on Horizon Zero Dawn is reportedly titled Horizon 2074, and is said to explore the events that took place before the first game. Although there haven’t been any official confirmations yet, rumors suggest that the series will delve into Aloy’s timeline as well as the pre-apocalyptic era, providing a deeper exploration of humanity’s downfall than the games.

The current status of the show and any potential changes under Blackman’s direction remain undisclosed. Regardless of the circumstances, it is highly likely that Sony and PlayStation Productions will be determined to continue the series, so we anticipate that the show will not be completely cancelled.

Do you have any interest in the Horizon TV show? Are you let down by this production hiccup? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section below.

A Konami producer said they would “love nothing more than to work with Hideo Kojima again”

It looks like all wounds heal over time, even the very painful ones that stay after a very public breakup. Among other things, Noriaki Okamura, who is producing the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater from Konami, has said that he would love to work with auteur creator Hideo Kojima again.

Okamura made the remarks in the recently released Metal Gear Production Hotline video (thanks, Gematsu). It was asked of the producer if there was any chance that the original staff would return to work on, co-develop, or oversee any Metal Gear games. He made sure to separate his answer from Konami’s.

“Wow, okay. I see that this one is going to be hard, huh? It’s not my job to answer for people outside the company or guess how they might feel about it. To speak for myself, though, I would love nothing more than to work with Mr. Kojima and the rest of the team again. “That would be a dream come true if it could happen.”

Okamura also said that Kojima and the rest of the team that worked on the original Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater would be properly credited for their work and show up in Delta’s credits.

In your heart, do you still hold out hope that Kojima and the Metal Gear series can get along one day? Feel free to dream in the space below.
