Not to be mistaken for the bezel-less LeTV X900, the X600 model does indeed feature bezels, albeit very thin ones. Both smartphones made their debut in China last month and a lot of people over there are pretty excited because of it from what I hear. On the other hand, western tech junkies might not be too familiar with this smartphone, but that’s all about to change because we’re now going to spend a bit of time discussing the LeTv X600 and how you can get your hands on one for a pretty cheap price.
First off, the deal itself is at follows: Gearbest are currently holding a pre-sale for the LeTv X600 and they’re pricing the device at around $364, which is not bad considering that this is an unlocked version. However, things get even better because the retailer let us in on a little secret that shaves an extra 45 bucks off the final price. Specifically, those interested only have to add the coupon code LETVX600 while placing the order and the price suddenly becomes only $319. No, it’s not magic, it’s just a special deal. In any case, the best part is that Gearbest ships worldwide so this is definitely not a China-only type of deal. Keep in mind though that this is a pre-sale so expect the units to ship only once they are available in stock. The LeTv X600 has not yet arrived in stores, although it should make its first appearance soon. Pricing is expected to be a big higher than $319 or even $364 once it does, at least, for those ordering from abroad.
As for the technical aspect of things, we’re looking at some powerful hardware and a rather simple, yet sleek design. For a lack of a better description, the LeTv X600 borrows and combines a few design elements seen on the iPhone 6 Plus with others found on the HTC One M9 and somehow presents them in a package that doesn’t really resemble either of those handsets. At 5.5-inch and 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, the full HD display is pretty standard for a good phablet smartphone, although its main strengths arguably lie under the hood. To put things into perspective a bit, the LeTv X600 is similar in raw hardware power to the famous OnePlus One ‘flagship killer’ while also benefiting from the Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system straight out of the box.
A quick peak at the hardware reveals a MediaTek helio X10 chipset complete with octa-core processor running at 2.0 GHz and 3 GB of RAM. The CPU is complemented by a solid 3,000 mAh battery pack and 16 GB of non-expandable internal storage memory. Unfortunately the LeTv X600 doesn’t feature a microSD card slot because the manufacturer opted to release three different variants of the devices, the other two packing 32 GB and 64 GB of storage, respectively. Rounding up the specs are a 13 MP primary camera with autofocus and a 5 MP selfie snapper with 90 degrees wide-angle lens. “My works are often inspired by nature, especially birds, which I find incredibly fascinating, that’s why choosing the mythical theme for this artwork was easy – right away, I imagined a fiery Phoenix, the symbol of the eternal cycle of life and death. To emphasize it even more, I also included a skull in this composition. It acts as an allegory of transience and demise, which the Phoenix overcomes.

To be honest, creating this artwork was a tough time for me,” admits William Konior. “Turns out creating a lineart-heavy illustration is quite challenging when you’re going through COVID and have to deal with shaky hands! But now that I look at it, fully recovered, I’m really proud of the final outcome. Both cats and Asian mythology have a special place in my heart, and that’s why this artwork features Byakko (or Baihu in Chinese) – the zodiac beast from the Fall, the West, and the Iron.
