Microsoft offers an official response to the claims that there is a “kill switch” built into the Xbox One
This time however things happened a little differently with a message coming down from testing company VMC that stated: “Microsoft also permanently disabled their Xbox LIVE accounts (as well as other suspected accounts present on their Xbox One kits) and temporarily blocked all of their Xbox One privileges – meaning that for a period of time which Microsoft decides on depending on the severity of the offense, their Xbox One is entirely unusable.” The last half of their statement, that suggest the Xbox One has a built in “kill switch”, caught gamers attention immediately.
It’s easy to see why they would be shocked at the idea of a “kill switch” being built into their console that turns into a brick at will. The story spread like wildfire, with Xbox One owners everywhere wanting to know if VMC’s claims about a “kill switch” were true. Microsoft has put out a statement about the leak that carefully contradicts VMC’s story:
“To be clear, if a console is suspended from Xbox Live for a violation of the Terms of Use, it can still be used offline. Microsoft enforcement action does not result in a console becoming unusable. Suspensions for both consoles and accounts are determined by looking at a number of factors. To avoid enforcement action including suspension from the service, users should follow the Xbox Live Terms of Use and Code of Conduct.”
This was all the company was willing to say, doing nothing to clarify VMC’s statements or say for certain if the Xbox One has a built in “Kill Switch” or not. The majority of Xbox One owners should have nothing to worry about even if the “kill switch” rumors are true. Punishment that severe will probably be saved for serious offenders, like people who break NDA agreements leaking highly secret game footage.
Sonic Frontier’s third and final free DLC update, The Final Horizon, is frustrating some players with its difficulty. Some say it’s Sonic’s hardest gameplay ever.
Many players complained about this unexpected difficulty spike in a 12-page GameFaqs forum post called “This DLC is way too hard” (thanks VGC). One of the main complaints about Sonic Frontiers was that it was too easy, and Team Sonic overcorrected, which makes it surprising.
Final Horizon, the last free update, let players play as Tails, Knuckles, and Amy and complete a variety of optional challenges, which is the challenge. Many are breaking down after a vertigo-inducing tower that requires pixel-perfect platforming without checkpoints, apparently inspired by viral Twitch hit Only Up!

The scene is surprisingly sad, with flashbacks to each Spider-Man’s tragic past. As property damages mount, Peter and Miles have emotional internal monologues while fighting Venom.
Venom appears to be about to lose when he realizes they can be stronger together before the scene fades to black. We won’t know how this story ends until Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches exclusively on PS5 on October 20.

We’ve accepted playing without our favorite character and are starting to like Reload. The setting, story, and cast have always been great, and the more we learn about the proposed changes, the more we want to return to Tartarus.
