Square Enix has unveiled a launch trailer for Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion with the remaster just a few weeks away. In this comparatively brief three-minute video, a lot has been crammed in: CG scenes, in-game cutscenes, combat footage. But nostalgia is unquestionably the key component in this situation. This trailer is sure to bring back memories if you played the PSP version of the first Crisis Core game.

Indeed, Reunion’s main selling point will be nostalgia. Even though it uses entirely new assets, it still plays like the action RPG you may remember from years ago, complete with incredibly awkward character interactions.

Where did we learn this? For preview purposes, we’ve been playing the PS5 version, so read on for our impressions.

Recurring Persona 3 remake rumors are exciting and exhausting. A site domain was changed in the same fashion as prior Atlus releases, indicating an announcement is imminent.

The “RE” suffix may refer to a “Reloaded Edition” or “Reload,” possibly referencing the game’s infamous Evoker pistols.

According to Persona Central, recent adjustments to the “P3RE.JP” domain suggest an announcement may be coming soon, likely at the Xbox Games Showcase. The Green Machine has an exclusive arrangement with the console Persona 3 and Persona 4 remasters, so we could see it there.

Your thoughts? This rainbow must include a Persona gold pot, right?

Square Enix looks to be following the Jim Ryan Marketing Playbook by bombarding fans with Final Fantasy XVI gameplay.

Despite respectfully asking a halt to things pre-PlayStation Showcase, we’ve had the Liquid Flame Boss fight trailer in the week since, and now this newest today, courtesy of IGN’s First effort. To clarify, we’ve long been sold on Final Fantasy 16. Squeenix is targeting a new demographic with this release, so we expect the hits to keep coming until launch day (although there’s no guarantee).

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 16 marketing blitz—what’s up? When each trailer is this amazing, quantity becomes quality. Are you media-free or unable to look away?

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, coming to PS5 and PS4, will immediately refund physical preorders and refund digital preorders upon request. Paradox Interactive updated its game development webpage.

“We remain just as dedicated to delivering a great Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines game as we were when we announced, and are looking forward to showing you more in September this year,” the Bloodlines team wrote in a message that refunded preorders.

Many of you pre-ordered Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 a long time ago. We will update the game’s editions and added material as production continues, and we want to give the most value to those who backed us via digital pre-order after all this time.”

Despite being unfinished, Troika’s 2004 roleplaying game Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines is rated one of the greatest. In the extremely adult World of Darkness, players play a fledgling vampire striving to survive in a politically volatile society with blood-sucking clans as lethal as any military-trained monster hunter (there are many of those, too).
