Elden Ring surpasses The Last of Us 2’s record by dominating God of War Ragnarok at the GOTY Awards
The Last of Us: Part II has reportedly been surpassed by Elden Ring in terms of total Game of the Year awards. This is supported by a thorough analysis on ResetEra, which has been compiling Game of the Year awards for years while taking into account a variety of gaming media.
The Last of Us: Part II garnered a staggering 322 Game of the Year honors in its release year of 2020, despite polarizing many fans. Elden Ring, an open-world RPG, has surpassed Naughty Dog’s post-apocalyptic sequel, presently holding 323 accolades. Given that the new year has only just begun, it is highly likely that this number will continue to rise.
Even though God of War Ragnarok debuted much later, in 2022, and had almost universal acclaim from critics, it only won 74 Game of the Year accolades. But hey, at least it was named the Game of the Year by Push Square! Even our readers voted for it to win.

Diablo 4’s Hardcore Mode is a character-creation-only difficulty adjuster. It automatically deletes characters when they die, making things infinitely harder regardless of World Tier. But 100? That’s several playthroughs on increasingly difficult World Tiers with new adversaries in harsher setups and about 150 hours of flawlessly rapid gameplay.

Bloober Team’s survival horror game Layers of Fear is terrifying. The Trophy List on Exophase just appeared, and players will have to go crazy to obtain Platinum.
With a Silver Trophy like “a new way” requiring players to “live through the third conversation” (and a few of Bronzes for surviving the previous two) and another called “face your fears” appearing when you “see your enemy and fail”, we might chase this one with the lights on.
