Update: The LEGO 2K Drive is now official after 24 hours. On May 19, 2023, it will be available for PS5 and PS4, and you can watch the official reveal teaser above.

Original story: It appears like LEGO 2K Drive is destined for a lifetime of leaks after IGN unintentionally hit accelerate on the game’s announcement post, causing it to go live 24 hours earlier than planned. This comes after many leaks earlier in the week that compelled the Danish toy producer to publicly deny the project’s existence.

The game sounds fantastic, which is good news. Awarded NBA 2K developer Visual Concepts is in charge of this “AAA driving adventure game,” which will launch on May 19 for PS5 and PS4. The screenshots clearly show Forza Horizon, but there will be a complete customization system that will enable you to build vehicles out of more than 1,000 different LEGO bricks.

Also, there will be licensed vehicles available at launch, such as the McLaren Solus GT, and a Drive Pass will support the game after it has been released. Four post-release seasons, each with fresh cars and themes, will contain this. The Awesome Edition ($99.99) and Awesome Rivals Edition ($119.99) both have automatic access to it. Your additional purchase choices at launch will be as follows:

Standard Edition (PS5: $69.99; PS4: $59.99)
A new car, vehicle flair, an in-game minifigure, and the Year 1 Drive Pass are all included in the Awesome Edition ($99.99).

Several vehicles, a vehicle flair, numerous in-game minifigures, and the Year 1 Drive Pass are included in the Amazing Rivals Edition ($119.99).
The Aquadirt Racer Pack, which includes a new Street Vehicle, Off-Road Car, and Racing Boat, will also be included with pre-orders. And yes, this will be a multi-discipline racer with choices for single player, online multiplayer, local split-screen, and more. Obviously, we still have to wait for the complete revelation, but in our opinion, this is building up amazingly.

The latest trailer for Sony Pictures Entertainment’s CGI film Resident Evil: Death Island, released July 25, features the outlandish action and melodrama that made the franchise a cult sensation.

This Resident Evil Avengers-esque team-up features Leon S. Kennedy, Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, Claire Redfield, and Rebecca Chambers.

The T-Virus and killer whales take the gang to Alcatraz in San Francisco Bay, where a new nightmare awaits. In magnificent slow motion and with progressively heavier ordinance, the Dream Team will supposedly destroy zombies, Lickers, mutant orcas, and anything else foolish or nasty enough to stand in their path.

Sony’s PS5 firmware update is everyone’s favorite news story. It’s been a while, but don’t get too excited—this is just a minor one. No biggie.

PS5 system software 23.01-07.40.00 does what? Latest firmware patch notes:

  • System software performance and stability increased.
  • We improved screen messaging and usability.

That’s it! Sony’s definition of “some screens” is unclear, but perhaps it improves communications. PS5 messages weren’t a problem, though. The update is barely over 1GB, so updating your console won’t take long.

Excited for this PS5 update?

Want more classic Metal Gear Solid remakes on PS5? You’ll need to speak Konami’s language—dollar bills—to express your desire.

“Regarding remakes of previous games in the series other than Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, we will listen to player demand and consider accordingly,” a Konami official told IGN.

Konami explained that “we chose Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater because it depicts the birth of Big Boss (Naked Snake), which is the starting point of the Metal Gear series.” Fans wishing it would last forever contributed.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, yes? Maybe you’ll buy another disc to show Konami you’ll pay again?
