Dropbox is already one of the best tools to use if you want to share files with other people without having to send the desired content to each and every one of them individually. Just upload the stuff you want to share, give people the link and you job is pretty much done. However, Dropbox does have certain limitations and may not be suitable for groups of people or even companies. This isn’t a problem anymore, though, because there’s now another solution called Dropbox for Business and it was specifically designed to help enterprises become more efficient while working on their projects.
Dropbox for business is being aimed primarily towards the smaller companies, however, a number of major corporations are already using it as well. These include Yahoo, National Geographic, Macmillan, Spotify, and Hyatt, to name just a few. With this version of the popular sharing tool users can gain access to a range of new features in addition to mere file sharing. Particularly, Dropbox for business is offering some welcome security and privacy features, two aspects that are always important to any serious business, be it large or small. The service also has a console that allows an administrator to keep an eye on and manage what other employees are sharing in order to make sure that people are using Dropbox for business properly.
At €600 per year, Dropbox for business is priced rather reasonably as it comes with 5 licenses right off the bat, with the possibility of adding more if needed. The company is throwing in 1 TB of cloud storage for each of the licenses, but can offer even more upon request. To break it down a bit, each of the five users need to chip in €10 each month as the €600 price tag is actually a bit of a discount. Buying just a month’s worth of Dropbox for business costs €60, or €12 per license. Alternatively, interested parties can also try out the 30-day free trial and see how they like it before deciding to commit to a long-term plan.
