Apple Watch dock is late and overpriced at about $100
Although the Apple Watch has been available for over 7 months now and the successor wearable is already on its way, Apple hasn’t yet released an Apple Watch charging dock. Last night, however, the actual Apple Watch dock was leaked online in a series of photos, suggesting that the company is finally releasing their own dock, after such a long time. We’re not entirely sure if this release is even to be considered, especially since there are only a few months left until the next Apple Watch is launched.
The Apple Watch dock is a pretty simple dock, representative of Apple’s minimalist design and overpriced tendencies. The dock price will be at around $100 and until now, we’ve only seen a whie version of it. iPhone charging docks are half the price, but the Apple Watch dock seems to be designed diffferently and closer to the wearable’s aesthetics. It also comes with a Lightning cable in the box, which you can use for plugging the dock into a power source, however there isn’t an adapter included.
According to the leaked information, the Apple Watch dock is a magnetic charging station made specifically for the Apple Watch. There’s no wireless charging involved, but that’s no surprise. The pricing of the dock seems most remarkable, especially since the Watch is already considered a pretty big investment. The dock looks and should feel premium enough, like the new Apple TV, but in my mind, that doesn’t warrant the high price and late release of the accessory.
The Apple Watch dock should have been released alongside the wearable last Spring, because after more than half a year, people have already settled with alternatives – since Apple wasn’t ready to provide all the accessories for the timepiece in due time. Nonetheless, an Apple-made dock was a long time coming and there are enough fans out there who want to get their hands on it.
When it comes to availability, the Cupertino-based company has not given any details. The general consensus is that the Apple Watch dock is pretty much ready to be launched, so that could happen any day now. Do you guys think $100 is too much to ask for a magnetic charging dock even if it’s for the Apple Watch? I do, but there has to be some missing information from this leak. People who paid thousands of dollars for their wearables won’t like this dock – it’s too simple. I bet Apple will launch at least three different charging docks, one with a more affordable price and another made of rose gold or something like that, you know, considered “premium”. Maybe those will be worth some extra money spending.

Super Mario Odyssey is available now exclusively for Nintendo Switch. The game released in October of last year to rave reviews, becoming one of the highest-reviewed games of the year and for the console in general. Any other year it would have easily swept the game of the year awards, though it unfortunately had to play runner-up to the other rave-reviewed 2017 game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

The first details for the Dark Souls Artorias the Abysswalker SD figure have been revealed. The product is an 8-inch PVC painted statue that comes with a collector’s box and authentic card. It doesn’t have an official release date yet, but it is expected to ship within the second quarter of this year.
The following is a brief overview of the figure from the First 4 Figures website:
“Once a part of the Four Knights of Lord Gwyn, Artorias wields a greatsword and has the ability to traverse The Abyss. However, eventually overwhelmed by The Abyss, Artorias heroically sacrificed himself by giving his shield to his companion, Sif which acted as a magic aura to save Sif from the darkness.
While being corrupted by The Abyss, some of his attacks have a dark aura to them. One major attack is called Wrath of the Abyss. Artorias will gather Darkness around him to unleash a violent area of effect explosion that gives him a damage buff. A trail of harmless Darkness will float and swirl behind him.”
