America loves amiibo figures but this love isn’t reciprocated at times, considering how hard it can be to purchase some of the rarer retailer exclusive figures. Some Nintendo fans have taken their figure collecting a step further, customizing common figures and selling them to the world. Among these fans is Christopher Avalos, who does an amazing job in creating custom figures.
One of the creations of Cristopher Avalos, the Metallic Mega Man amiibo, is going to be the prize for an upcoming Super Smash Bros. tournament which is going to be held later this week on April 25th at the Wizard World Comic Con in Las Vegas. If you’re in the area and you think your Falcon Punch truly has no equals, enter the tournament and see if what you think is really true.
The first batch of amiibo figures has been released in all regions together with Super Smash Bros for Wii U last November. All the amiibo figures released as part of the Super Smash Bros. line can interact with both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game, allowing players to customize their Figure Fighters with items and custom special moves that can alter their performance. Amiibo figures are also compatible with other Wii U games such as Mario Kart 8, the Zelda series spin-off game Hyrule Warriors, Mario Party 10 and others, allowing players to unlock exclusive extra content that cannot be obtained in any other way such as extra costumes for Mario Kart 8, exclusive weapons for Hyrule Warriors and more. Following the release of the first waves of Super Smash Bros. amiibo figures, Nintendo has also released the Super Mario line, only including characters taken from the popular series. Another line will debut next month alongside the Wii U exclusive third person shooter game Splatoon in all regions.
