The latest entries of the Pokémon series, Pokémon Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, X and Y, are among the more popular games ever released on Nintendo 3DS, with players continuing to play the games even months after release thanks to their extensive online features. If you want to continue playing these games online, however, you will have to download a new update that’s been made available for all games earlier today.
The new updates for the four games aren’t that big, only around 250 blocks big, and they include some bug fixes and some in-game text tweaking. Even if you’re not interested in these changes, you will still have to download the updates if you want to play the games online.
The latest entries of the Pokémon series to get released in all regions are Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. These two games aren’t exactly new, as they are the remakes of the classic Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire originally released on GameBoy Advance years back. The new games come with many feature that were not available in the original games and that have lifted from more recent entries of the franchise such as Mega Evolutions and Mega Stones, the Fairy Type Pokémon, Horde Encounters and more. Some all new features are also in, such as completely new characters like Aarune, Lisia and Zinnia, Cosplay Pikachu, a unique female Pikachu that can change on of her moves by changing costume in Contest Hal, Primal Reversion forms for Groudon and Kyogre, trainers who can battle players underwater like the Scuba Diver and Free Diver and much more.
Pokémon Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, X and Y are now available in all regions exclusively on Nintendo 3DS. The new updates are also available for download right now for each respective game and they’re required to access online features.
