Yesterday a new episode of the Capcom TV show has been aired online, showcasing several upcoming Capcom published titles like Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition, the new version of the action game released years ago on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC launching this month on new consoles and PC. The gameplay footage shown focused on Trish, one of the new playable characters of the game, so we really didn’t learn anything new about the game.
Something new, however, still managed to surface during the show. It’s been confirmed that The Devil May Cry series producer Hideaki Itsuno will be present during the E3 2015, which will be held from June 16th until June 18th in Los Angeles. The producer will most likely be present to promote Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition, launching a few days after in North America and Europe, but there’s a small chance that we may learn something more about the series’ future.
More Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition gameplay footage has surfaced online earlier this week. The footage has been taken during the MCM London Comic Con 2015 and feature several gameplay sequences, including a nice Bloody Palace run with Vergil.
Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition is going to come with plenty of new features not found in the original release such as three new playable characters – Lady, Trish and Vergil -, new costumes for all characters, the Legendary Dark Knight mode which was only available in the PC version and more. Dante and Nero will obviously be available in the new release but they won’t receive any major change so all those who have mastered the original release will find themselves right at home.
Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition will be released in Japan on June 18th on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as a physical and digital release. A Limited Edition is also getting released in Japan, including several extra goodies that fans of the series will surely appreciate. The game will be released on June 23rd on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC as a digital only release.
