Final Fantasy XV, the new entry of the Final Fantasy series currently in development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, has received a playable demo called Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae back in March. The demo, which was included in all first print run copies of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, is going to receive a new update later today which will introduce some new features as well as several tweaks and adjustments.
All the details on the Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae 2.0 changes have emerged online thanks to this week’s issue of Famitsu, which has leaked online a few minutes ago. According to the magazine, Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae 2.0 will include new cooperation attacks, a new evasive action which doesn’t consume MP, the ability to change attacks during combos by pressing a different direction, the ability to charge great sword attacks by holding down the button, individual action quests suggested by party members and the ability to fight the Catoblepas by the lake. Among the tweaks included are some camera tweaks, changes for the warp command, increased areas that can be warped to, Just Guard no longer consuming MP, tweaks for attack power and MP consumption, improvements for party AI and more.
Final Fantasy XV has been in development for quite some time. The game was originally announced as Final Fantasy Versus XIII and was going to be released exclusively on PlayStation 3. Various development issues have made Square Enix rebrand the game as Final Fantasy XV, which is now being directed by Hajime Tabata and no longer by Tetsuya Nomura, now working on Kingdom Hearts III.
Final Fantasy XV is currently in development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and a final release date has yet to be confirmed. The Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae 2.0 demo will be released later today on all formats.
