Scalebound is without a doubt one of the more interesting games that has been shown during the Gamescom 2015 earlier this month. The new game directed by Hideki Kamiya will be quite different from other games directed by the creator of Devil May Cry, Bayonetta and others but it will surely be as good as these games as if not even more.
During Gamescom 2015, a new Scalebound gameplay presentation has been shown, showcasing all the more important gameplay features of the new Platinum Games title. Today, the same gameplay presentation with Japanese subtitles has been added to the Scalebound Official Japanese website. The website now also includes some basic details on the game’s world and characters. You can take a look at the Scalebound website by going here.
Scalebound is an action role playing game where players will control Drew and explore the world of Draconis. During the game players will always be accompanied by a dragon called Thuban who will be controlled by artificial intelligence. Players, however, will be able to give commands to the dragon in battle so to better coordinate efforts and defeat even the most powerful enemy.
The dragon is going to be one of the more important gameplay elements of Scalebound. Players will be able to customize its appearance as well as upgrade its abilities by using gems dropped by enemies. Keeping the dragon in good health is also going to be really important, as the bond between Drew and Thuban is so strong that Drew will die if Thuban is killed.
Scalebound is currently in development exclusively for Xbox One and it will be released sometime during the last quarter of 2016. More on the game is surely going to be coming in soon and we will keep you updated on the game as soon as possible.
