Like many other Nintendo games, Super Mario Maker is filled with secrets and Easter Eggs, so much that players are still discovering new ones almost two weeks after the game has been released. A really nice new Super Mario Maker Easter Egg has been discovered recently, a secret that will make fans of Super Mario World quite happy.
This new Easter Egg is activated by hitting the goal in any Super Mario World style course while the Bonus Level theme is playing. When doing so, the Course Clear music will change to the one that plays when completing a bonus stage in Super Mario World. This new Easter Egg isn’t certainly game changing, but fans will certainly appreciate it, as it’s these small details that make Super Mario Maker such a compelling and fun experience.
In our own Super Mario Maker review, we have noted how the new game from Nintendo is the true Wii U killer app. The game’s editor is incredibly easy to use, allowing players to create a huge variety of courses thanks to the many objects that can be used. While the game is generally very well crafted, some missing objects like checkpoints end up damaging the experience for those who want to create longer and more complex stages. The excessive amount of luck based and auto-completing courses is definitely another issue that could damage the game in the long run, but the introduction of dedicated categories in the Course World would make it way less aggravating.
Super Mario Maker is now available in all regions exclusively on Wii U. The game is definitely one of the best Wii U titles ever released so do yourself a favor and get the game if you haven’t already if you are a fan of the Super Mario series.
