EVO 2017 was a very hype event that showed the best gamers can do. But it also showed a few rounds of interesting news to talk about. One of the most interesting ones in my opinion was about the side project God-I mean, Arc System Works had in their hands even with Dragon Ball Fighter Z utterly destroying Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite.
Even then, Arc decided to go above and beyond when they unveiled BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle. Since like the name implies, this is going to be a cross over game between various franchises. Including RWBY, Under Night In-Birth and Persona 4 Arena. According to them the game will be available at some point in 2018.
The Cross-Over Nobody Asked For. But Everyone Needed.
This came with a video during EVO that showed off the characters and how they played. There’s not much to know about this game minus the fact that it’s a 2V2 tag team battle game. And that it will incorporate things like Assists and cross combos (Sound familiar?).
Now to talk briefly about the franchises that are featured in the game. I’d say that Persona and RWBY almost need no introduction. Persona 4 Arena is one of the most popular games in the gaming community for its brimming personality and catchy music. RWBY of course known as being one of the best web shows we have seen in quite some time as well.
BlazBlue and Under Night In-Birth are also great fighting games in and off themselves, with BlazBlue having a constant presence amongst the competitive gaming community with its very diverse cast of characters. And UNI-B being a fighter that’s known for including modern fantasy elements. Although, to be sincere. Up until now I have never heard of this game developed by Ecole Software and Freanch Bread.
I’m sure a lot of gamers are excited for the future Arc System Works project that’s sure to have more updates as time goes by. We’re going to be happy to cover these as more developments unfold!
