The Final Fantasy series has been accompanying people’s dreams and adventures for 30 years. Especially in Japan, considering that the popular franchise by Square-Enix has made its way to millions of player’s hearts. Now, it’s time to bring your glasses up and scream “Cheers!” in excitement, because we’re going to be getting some special wine to celebrate the occasion.
This time, Square-Enix presented a surprise for the fans and partnered with Winehouse to bring the drink for Toasts in Final Fantasy’s honor. A Limited edition of wine that will definitely make people enjoy the birthday party.
The collaborative effort is named “Ifrit”, which is a Final Fantasy summon we’ve all come to know. An extremely charming red that is mildly tannic with hints of strawberry, flavors similar to a freshly picked fruit can be enjoyed with this wine. The Ifrit wine will follow the association of fire that made it iconic in the Final Fantasy series.
Every bottle has a lot of history, according to the official post. “Ifrit Rouge and Shiva Blanc is from the highly notable city of Mâcon in Bourgogne. Both are a pure delicate pinot noir and chardonnay made in a historic medieval castle.” And that’s just the beginning of it.
“The castle built from stone stands on a hill looking down on the beautiful vineyards below. The cellar was constructed in 1789, the same year as the French Revolution. A stone monument etched with “1585” commemorates the vintner’s success in wine-making over the generations and stands near the family estate built in the 16th century.”
The amount of bottles produced for pre-orders is limited to 50 bottles and each costs $55.00 Dollars. So make sure to get your drink in order to celebrate with all of us gamers who got inspired by Final Fantasy games over the years. Cheers!
