Apple Arcade is the iOS gaming subscription service that allows Apple users access to many App Store games via a subscription. When it launched this year it came with one subscription option: $4.99 per month. However, today that changes as customers can instead select a yearly option that saves them some money.
The subscription now allows users to subscribe yearly instead of just monthly, with the annual subscription costing $49.99. Considering that paying $4.99 monthly totals $59.88 for an entire year, doing the annual subscription will save you nearly $10. This is an excellent deal, and the company will be adding more games to the list as time goes on.
The good news is that current monthly subscribers are not locked into their current subscription plan. All you have to do if you’re a monthly subscriber is open the App store, tap on your profile photo, then tap subscriptions, tap Apple Arcade, and then select the new one-year option.
For those unfamiliar with this service, it gives users access to over 100 games across iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac, and the games are entirely free of ads or in-app purchases. The games list includes the likes of Exit the Gungeon, Frogger in Toy Town and Hot Lava. The reception to the service has been positive so far, with many more games set to debut on the service in the future.
