The 24th Overwatch Hero: Orisa Is Now Live!

The 24th Overwatch Hero: Orisa Is Now Live!

The Anti-Tank Tank Heroine Is Ready To Protect You!

Available in the PTR for some time now, the centaur-like, Omnic tank Orisa is now playable for all.
Lore wise Orisa is both simple and refreshing. She is a repaired defense robot that was scavenged by a brilliant child prodigy after a Doomfist attack on Numbani. Now Orisa has a new purpose, to be a great hero and protect all. And it is refreshing to have a hero that does not have a long (and/ or mysterious) past. Her story has just begun.

Ability-wise, Orisa is mixed bag of everything. A mish mash of other heroes abilities, with seemingly one goal in mind: To counter Reinhardt.

Her primary attack is “Fusion Driver” a minigun-like cannon that fires projectile type shots. Not only you have to lead your shots a little, she is slowed when firing it.

“Halt!” is Orisa secondary fire. It fires an orb, that when detonated pulls enemies to it. More or less a mini black hole.

“Fortify” is an ability that makes Orisa temporarily take reduced damaged and she cannot be affected by action-impairing effects. Which includes sleep, stun and even Reinhardt’s charge.

Orisa can also place a “Protective Barrier“. A small grounded shield that has the effect of Reinhardt’s shield, only it has a smaller heath pool of 900.

Finally, Orisa’s ultimate is “Supercharger“. She places a small drum, that effects all friendlies around it, giving them a damage boost of 50%. Kind of like Mercy’s alt-beam.

Orisa is a friendly robot, ready to protect you from giant charging German men with big hammers. And you can play her now!
