The Elder Scrolls Online is getting players prepared for its huge expansion taking place in the fan-favorite region of Morrowind. This new video released by Bethesda showcases the brand new PvP arena titled Battlegrounds which will be a part of the release of The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind. This new mode will differ from the large-scale PvP map that players of the game are already used to by focusing on tight 4 player teams in smaller, more focused maps. Teams will compete to control the map against two other teams in a 4v4v4 gauntlet.

This sounds like a good idea, as many have been put off by PvP in the base game of The Elder Scrolls Online. It was by no means terrible and was a great idea in concept, but didn’t always manage to achieve the epic scale warfare it was going for. Originally, players would battle in a huge region of Cyrodil and fight in a persistent warzone where teams would capture territory, towns, and castles. This meant that the battle never stopped and you might log on one day to see that town you tried so hard to keep hold of has now been captured by the enemy, pushing your side back in the process. The problem with this, however, was that many times you would find there just wasn’t enough players on at one time to fill the gigantic map, which led to a lot of roaming large empty stretches with no one around to the sound of whistling winds and sight of some tumbleweeds rolling by.

This new, dense, and more focused attempt at PvP looks like a great contrast to what we had before. Hopefully, the smaller map sizes have given Zenimax Online Studios more creative freedom to come up with tightly designed and interesting battlegrounds for players to spend ungodly amounts of hours in. As seen in the video, which was filmed during the first hands-on at PAX East 2017, one player expresses the joy he had throwing players into lava. This means the maps could have unique gameplay traits that could turn the tide of battle.

At PAX, players also got to try out a new class included in The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind, the Warden. Though not too much is known about it as of yet, we can get from this video that he has quite a sweet looking frost ability that seems fun to play around with. The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind releases July 6th, 2017 on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Mac.

Born in London but really from Gloucestershire, UK, which if you haven't heard of is basically exactly the same as The Shire from LOTR. I have been known to play guitar like the true reincarnation of Jimi Hendrix in my youth, but nowadays i play more video games than music. My love of gaming started back in the old Sega Arcades where i would often shoot zombies in House Of The Dead 2. Also when any RPG comes out i have to play it instantly. Without Hesitation.

Helldivers 2 has seen a rapid rise in popularity, presenting both opportunities and challenges for Arrowhead Game Studio. Although one could argue that the studio has produced a modern masterpiece, Helldivers 2 is still prone to persistent connection issues. Players who have shown great patience with the ongoing server issues in the game are now starting to clash, focusing on personal gain instead of uniting for the success of Super Earth.

IGN reported that players are pleading with Arrowhead to include an AFK auto-kick feature on the Helldivers subreddit. This request comes after some players confessed to remaining logged in to continue playing and bypass the unpredictable server connection process. This issue requires an urgent resolution.

@Arrowhead GS: You’re gonna need an AFK timer.

The leader of Arrowhead, Johan Pilestedt, was informed about the problem and assured that the developers were investigating the situation. “I have already communicated this to the team,” Pilestedt confirmed. Regarding Helldivers updates, Xbox players are now petitioning Arrowhead to release the game on their platform after comments from Xbox boss Phil Spencer about the game’s exclusivity.

Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi series has garnered significant acclaim from players, with Cal Kestis’ gripping journey of survival serving as a focal point. Actor Cameron Monaghan, renowned for his portrayal of Kestis in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor, has expressed his openness to bringing the character to life in a live-action adaptation. However, Monaghan emphasizes that certain conditions must be met for him to consider reprising the role.

During a panel at FanExpo Vancouver 2024, Monaghan, known for his roles in Shameless and Gotham, provided insight into his perspective. While many actors would eagerly seize any opportunity to join the Star Wars universe, Monaghan’s willingness to portray Kestis in live-action hinges on the narrative significance and continuation of the character’s story. Merely appearing as a superficial presence would not align with his vision; there must be substantial meaning and relevance for Kestis within the context of the story.

As anticipation builds for a potential third installment in the Star Wars Jedi series, Respawn Entertainment’s reported development of a first-person Mandalorian game raises intriguing possibilities. Could Kestis find himself embarking on new adventures within this immersive gaming experience?

Fans are speculating and curious about the possibility of a live-action Star Wars movie starring Dominic Monaghan. Would such a project capture your interest? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
