Although connecting the device to an HDTV is simple and easy, one inconvenience when it comes to audio might be annoying to some. One of the issues that I encountered with the Mini PC was that when plugging in my phone to charge via USB (not OTG), the device had to be turned on to start charging and then plugged into the TV to be shut off, because there’s no quick shutdown function for the power button. Nonetheless, if you use the OTG cable to charge, the device doesn’t have to be turned on in order to actually charge your gadgets. Regardless, these are small inconveniences that won’t arise for everyone, more for power users, which is not the target audience of the Ainol Mini PC.
The Ainol Mini PC is made for traveling, office work, family entertainment, and freelancing. I could take the Mini PC with me to the bar even and plug it in there so my friends and I could watch Netflix without a problem. We could also collaborate on projects by pairing Bluetooth devices to the Mini PC and creating projects in PowerPoint and such, and the Mini PC could even support Photoshop and Sony Vegas Pro 13. Admittedly, these more demanding apps will slow down the PC, but not as much as to make it unusable. There’s Wi-Fi incorporated, but there’s not Ethernet cable, which can be an issue for some. For me, the speeds at which Wi-Fi was working were a bit disappointing, compared to speeds I get with other wireless devices in the house. While that might be more of a router or frequency problem, it should be taken note of.
To give you an idea of what the Ainol Mini PC has to work with, let’s check out the tech specs of the device and make a list of the features. First, we’ve got a full Windows 8.1 OS with a one-year Microsoft Office 365 subscription. These alone are already worth more than half the price of the Mini PC itself, at least in my opinion. The only drawback in the software department is that the Ainol Mini PC can not be upgraded to Windows 10. But for fans of Windows 8.1 like myself, that might not be an issue. It would have been nice to be able to use Windows 10 on such a Mini PC, but one can’t have everything.
The Ainol Mini PC comes with two full 2.0 USB slots, a microUSB OTG slot, an HDMI slot, a microSD card slot, a power out, and a headphone jack. Although SFID woudl have been nice for audiophiles, this product is not meant for that. Under the hood, the device comes with an Intel quad core Z3735F CPU, backed by 2 GB RAM, 32 GB eMMC storage, Intel HD Graphics Gen 7, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n. That setup is pretty basic and it sets the Ainol Mini PC on the border between tablet and PC, which is convenient.

My answers varied depending on the askers’ necessities. Compared to Jedi: Fallen Order, combat hasn’t been expanded, but a new stance system lets you choose a lightsaber and control its use. Dual wielding, twin blades, and blaster use depend on the opponent and number of them. It expands your Force experience.
Meditation Points serve as Bonfires, death resets experience points, and the game has a slightly higher difficulty curve than other action-adventure games. You can customize the experience with multiple difficulty options.
Respawn Entertainment also brings back Metroidvania, teasing later powers and abilities in early areas. Puzzles are challenging and add to the exploration loop. The prize is customizing Cal, BD-1, and your lightsaber.
Star Wars’ quirky dialogue and music complete it. The former is stunning, with film-like tracks. Jedi: Survivor’s best feature is the latter. Before combat, droids and stormtroopers will talk about how they’ll kill the Jedi, only to be stabbed by a lightsaber seconds later. Good stuff.
Visuals aren’t. They’re inconsistent: cutscenes look great but gameplay doesn’t. In-game action could never match the game’s 147GB cutscenes. The PS5 version should support the DualSense controller, but its features are rarely used. Haptic feedback and adaptive trigger resistance rarely occur when using the Force.
Conclusion
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, like any good sequel, builds on the first game and improves it. Combat is fun and has more options, exploration is amazing, and Metroidvania puzzles and rewards are satisfying. It adds another crowning moment to 2023.
