Because we are not tired of being judged by our Instagram photos or swept left or right on Tinder a new app that allows others to give reviews about ourselves is being created. Peeple will be an app through which anyone who has your phone number and your Facebook profile will be able to create a new profile about you in which him or others can review you.
There are many rules and terms of services that supposedly won’t allow any form of bullying, shaming, sexism, racism or any other kind of hate to be posted on your profile, although negative feedback, if respectful, will be allowed.
Until now the company’s Facebook page has been flooded with negative expectation of this new app considering it a form through which other people can destroy your image. Peeple co-founders Julia Cordray and Nicole McCullough are trying to defend their application by expecting it to spread more positivity and bring out good traits in each other.
“People do so much research when they buy a car or make those kinds of decisions, why not do the same kind of research on other aspects of your life?” said Cordray. Basically, founders of Peeple think that reviews about ourselves might help others see if we are good enough to be their friends or acquaintances(OMG) or at least that’s how I see this app.
The company expects to launch the app before the ending of 2015 but as the app is currently in beta testing, users can opt out from the service. If they choose to do so the company will delay the launch date and add this option to the final Peeple application.
