Street Fighter V New Character Confirmed – R. Mika
Street Fighter V, the new entry of the Street Fighter series launching on PlayStation 4 and PC next year, is still far from release and we still don’t know the full character roster. However today we have learned that a character who appeared in one of the entries of the Street Fighter Alpha series is going to be included in the new game.
In a new press release sent to us a few minutes ago, Capcom has confirmed that R. Mika from Street Fighter Alpha 3 will be included in Street Fighter V. The young wrestler will come with powerful high-flying moves that will make her quite a force to be reckoned with. Her V-Trigger will allow the character to call her tag-team partner Nadeshiko to set up sneaky attacks and command grab mix-ups. R. Mika is definitely the right character for those who like close combat specialized fighters who can deal huge amount of damage.
Almost all revealed Street Fighter V characters are returning characters taken from previous entries of the series and only one brand new character has been revealed so far. Necalli is a powerful close combat character who will be able to unleash a variety of powerful special moves. His V-Trigger will work as a stance, giving the character more powerful attacks but making him lose the ability to use V-Reversals. Once activated, Necalli’s V-Trigger cannot be turned off until the end of the round.
Street Fighter V is not only going to come with new gameplay mechanics but also with a brand new approach to additional post-release content. A few weeks ago Capcom confirmed that players will only have to purchase Street Fighter V once, with all balance and system adjustments getting released for free for everyone. Players will also be able to unlock extra fighters by using an in-game currency. It will also be possible to unlock these characters through a premium currency.

Director Hyung-Tae Kim later clarified that this was the studio’s original vision, but he acknowledged that it may require further persuasion to win over users.
