Blackview launches Alife P1 Pro for $100 unlocked
Before dismissing the Blackview Alife P1 Pro as a cheap, good for nothing handset that only costs $99, take into consideration that this is actually a good mid-ranger with an important feature: design. Blackview is not very famous internationally, but its new Alife P1 Pro is a pretty interesting release, not because it’s cheap but boasts with excellent specs, but because its design is admirable. The Blackview Alife P1 Pro looks much like the Samsung Galaxy S6, save for the all-metal chassis. The frame is an aluminum alloy, which is quite enough to make the Alife P1 Pro feel like a smaller Galaxy Note 4.
The design of the Alife P1 Pro is what caught our attention, aside from the ridiculously low price. You can actually buy the Alife P1 Pro for $99.99 at Everbuying, but if you’re interested, it would be wise to be quick about it, as Everbuying only has this phone in limited numbers. Moreover, you will also receive a free gift with your purchase, which is mysteriously appealing in my mind. The Alife P1 Pro is a massive phablet and many people frown upon its price. Rarely have I thought that a phone would be disregarded because of its low price, but here we are.
What we first need to note about this sale is that it’s tricky. If you don’t get the time slot right, you might pay $120 or even $140 for the Alife P1 Pro. You should check the schedule carefully, as the flash sale with limited units available starts at 8 AM GMT on Friday! I would suggest betting on Friday to get this smartphone, if you really want to take advantage of the deal. You can also try on Wednesdays at the same time. If you buy at other times you will have to shell out $120 or $1470 and won’t get a gift. According to Everbuying, if you buy on Wednesday (today, I think), you will get a free selfie stick, a free 32 GB microSD card, a free cell phone holder and a free protective screen.
Although I’m sure there are some compromises in the overall engineering of the Blackview Alife P1 Pro, for $100, it’s a bargain no matter what those are. When you first check the handset out, you won’t find any compromises and in the brief time we spent with it, we didn’t stumble across any serious ones. Although up front, the Alife P1 Pro looks like the Galaxy S6, iPhone 6 characteristics can also be found on the bottom in the form of the speaker grill. There’s only a mic next to it, which looks rather appealing in my opinion. Clean and simple.
On the front, the Alife P1 Pro also sports a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button, thus conforming to the newly emerged biometric security trend that has emerged in recent years, starting with Touch ID. The rear panel of the phone is slightly curved, with chamfered edges surrounding the display. It’s made of a sturdy plastic and it hides a removable 3000 mAh battery and 2 SIM card slots, one of which doubles as a microSD card reader. On the left side, we can find the volume rocker, while the power button is on the right side of the Alife P1 Pro. On top, all we have is a mic, a microUSB port and a headphone jack, all of them blended beautifully into the design of the phone.
The Alife P1 Pro keeps a quad core MediaTek MT6735 CPU under its hood, with 4G LTE, a Mali-T720 GPU, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage. One of the more bothersome traits and compromises of the Alife P1 Pro is the display. While it’s nice and sharp from afar, the resolution is not ideal. For a 5.5 inch display, a 1280*720 display might be disappointing. Nonetheless, the viewing experience isn’t as altered as one would expect. Pixelation is rare and basic viewing habits won’t be bothered by the lower resolution. While not ideal, the Alife P1 Pro display is decent enough for its price and performance.
The camera of the Alife P1 Pro is comprised of a 13 MP sensor accompanied by an LED flash on the rear and a 5 MP selfie camera on the front. Since we haven’t tested the camera yet, I can’t say whether it’s good or not. 13 MP sounds rather good, but I wouldn’t expect too high-quality photos nonetheless. The selfie camera is probably good, as Blackview, much like other Chinese smartphone manufacturers, emphasize the importance of the front camera according to their target audience – the majority of people I believe love taking selfies. Although the camera will probably be just average, the whole getup of the Alife P1 Pro is exemplary for its price.
One of the cheapest smartphones that I’ve come across, the Blackview Alife P1 Pro is impressive in design and specifications, but fails to impress in the display department. While the camera is currently a mysterious topic, it will probably be average. Put these specs and features together, add Android 5.1 Lollipop with minimal skinning to the mix, consider the microSD slot, the gifts and the removable battery, and you have a hit. But we can’t declare the Alife P1 Pro awesome just yet. We first need to test it thoroughly, and once that’s done, we’ll be back with more. Until then, buying this phone is an interesting opportunity for any Android user. Nail the pricing at $100 and get the gifts, and you’re a winner regardless of how the Alife P1 Pro handles your requests upon receipt.
Elon Musk is buying Twitter
It appears like billionaire Elon Musk will purchase Twitter after all (via TechCrunch). It appears Musk has run out of options after making an offer to the social network and then attempting to withdraw that offer. The share price of $54.20 that Musk originally proposed has been set.
The sale was set on an unalterable trajectory when Musk informed the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of his intention to purchase.
Before this filing, Musk and Twitter were en route to court. Musk first proposed buying Twitter and afterwards attempted to pull out of the arrangement. His justification for doing so was that he thought 20% of Twitter users might be bots. Musk did not provide any proof to back up this assertion. Twitter, on the other hand, asserted that a maximum of 5% of its users were bots, which is still a significant percentage but not nearly as bad as Musk alleges.
Twitter has the right to sue Musk due to the original conditions of the agreement in an effort to have him complete the transaction. Musk had planned to go to court and attempt to avoid the situation up until this morning. But now that we have this SEC filing, something must have changed. Additionally, Musk had previously offered $54.20 per share before the legal saga got off. It’s a stunning turn of events that portrays Twitter as the winner of this conflict.
Twitter’s stock price soared after the news, as one might anticipate. As of the time this story was published, it was trading at $51.88, a significant increase from $43.84 yesterday.

Gadgets are indubitably a part of our lives. We surround ourselves with them. Best Xbox One Cyber Monday Deals:
More than ever, a lot of customers will be happy knowing that the Xbox One and Xbox One S consoles are getting the most discounted. However, we also are seeing a great offering from a very unlikely place for the Xbox One X.
AMAZON – Xbox One S 1TB Console – Battlefield V Bundle (Heading)
The Xbox One S is an incredible gaming console. The portability of it might be the biggest attraction for a lot of users. While it definitely isn’t capable of offering native 4K gaming and limiting itself to just upscaling. It literally also offers the best 1080p performance for most games. The addition of HDR is also a big plus as well.
This bundle comes with the game Battlefield V and a 1TB Storage Drive. While there aren’t many positives about the game bundled with the system. It definitely is a great deal that allows you to save up to $70 USD. Alternatively, the Minecraft version of this bundle can actually save you up to $100 USD if you really want to go for the extreme savings.
We feel like this is a better pick for the Xbox One S as the game is a current-gen game where you can see the results on screen more unlike the Minecraft counterpart. However, it’s mostly a matter of which bundle suits your tastes better.
