Adieu Nexus 5, welcome Nexus 5 2015 with Marshmallow

[Update] LG confirmed that it is actually very interested in manufacturing the new Nexus 2015 to AndroidPit. According to them, a source from within LG said the new Nexus 5 2015 is of interest to LG, although it is not clear whether LG has come forward to Google with the proposition, or Google proposed the deal to LG.
The Google Nexus 5 of 2013 is still one of the best smartphones on the Planet, and that’s according to users and fans who have bought the phone and are still using it. Smartphone shelf life has decreased a lot in the past few years, but the Nexus 5 keeps its game up even still. But, sooner or later, people will have to let go of their phones and upgrade, and the new Nexus 6 doesn’t seem to fit these people’s needs. The Nexus 6 is too big and bulky and looks too much like the Moto X. People want another Nexus 5 and it looks like Google is going to give it to them.
New rumors suggest that the Nexus 5 2015 will be manufactured by LG and will keep in mind all the things that people loved about the first generation Nexus 5 from 2013. LG has been upping their game for quite some time now and we were very impressed with the newly unveiled LG G4, not to mention the already iconic LG G3. Their mid-range game is not that swell, but their flagship game is shining and the Nexus 5 is a great example of that.
The Nexus 5 2015 will most likely be made by LG again, as new reports and analysts themselves suggest that this is the course that Google is taking. The Mountain View giant is known for listening to user feedback and we suspect they’ll listen this time too. The Nexus 6 isn’t doing very well, so the attempt to give people a marker that would define what a good smartphone looks like did not go as planned for Google. In the hopes of the company keeping their tradition, many people are convinced that the Nexus 5 2015 will be a modern reincarnation of the original.
Since LG will be making it and the Nexus 5 wants and has wanted to be affordable, we’re not expecting to see the full metal unibody we have seen on the iPhone 6 Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9. Instead, we’re expecting a polycarbonate chassis with a metal frame and a removable battery, under which there will be a microSD card slot. Yes, a microSD card slot, because that’s what Android users seem to be missing right now, aside from the removable battery. Google is about people-pleasing, and what better way to please the people than with an affordable smartphone which they have been asking for?
As such, the Nexus 5 2015 will get a QHD display on a 5.2 inch display, as per our insiders and will get a bigger battery complete with fast charging and wireless charging. It won’t have a superb battery life on one charge, but since the battery will be removable, that shouldn’t be too much of a hassle. Were it not neat if Google put a spare battery in each box for each Nexus 5 2015 bought through the Play Store? It would. Be neat that is.
Google has to do one thing great with the Nexus 5 2015 and it will have a home run: camera. People were very disappointed with the Nexus 5 camera. and considered it a bad trade-off for the low price. People want good cameras on their smartphones, and our insiders tell us that Google and LG are listening and are working on keeping the price down yet still offering a good camera experience. As such, rumors are that the next Nexus 5 will come equipped with a 13 MP camera with optical image stabilization and a 5 MP camera on the front. That doesn’t sound too out of the ordinary, but according to our insiders, software and post-processing will make the difference.
Android M will most likely be launched alongside the Nexus 5 2015 and we’ve little knowledge about how that will look like. It’s too early to talk about Android M, but we are expecting details to surface in the following few weeks. Google I/O is coming up this month, so that’s where the scoop will be. Once we cover that, I’m sure we’re going to be back with more information about the Nexus 5 2015, Android M and the specs that it will be working with once the new flagship smartphone is launched in September or October 2015. Until then, we’re excited to see what’s next and are definitely waiting to upgrade! By the way, what do you think the M in Android M will stand for? We’re voting marshmallow, you?

Sony Expects 108 Million PS5 Sales This Generation

After the COVID-19 supply collapse, Sony CEO Jim Ryan is optimistic about PS5 sales. The Sony executive anticipates the PS5, the best-selling console for months, will sell 108 million units.
That’s difficult stuff considering Sony needs to sell 70 million more PS5s. Since supply has increased, consoles are selling like hotcakes in major countries, suggesting the firm is above 40 million.
Ryan stated in a recent games business briefing webcast and Q&A (thanks, TweakTown):
“The 70 million, I think, is the existing PlayStation 4 user base, and while we would hope to convert a large number of those people, we will definitely target and definitely be successful in bringing large numbers of gamers who did not own a PlayStation 4, and in many instances, who have never owned a PlayStation at all.”
Mr. Ryan’s numbers—should we focus on the 108 part?

PlayStation Studios’ PC Games to Grow Beyond FY22

PlayStation Studios PC sales were announced in Sony’s Business Segment Meeting, along with PSVR2 sales, PS Plus numbers, and major PS5 game release dates.
Spider-Man Remastered and The Last of Us: Part 1 led the pack with 1.5 million and 368K sales, respectively. Maybe it was worthwhile.
Sony expects this trend to continue (see that graph!). and will remain bullish on PC ports (quietly jacking prices in some places), but has stated that PS5 is the priority. The PlayStation Showcase, less than 24 hours away, may bring more PC announcements.
PlayStation Studios’ PC success—what do you think?
