We’ve heard several reports suggesting that this will be the first year that Apple doesn’t include EarPods or a Power Adapter with their new iPhone lineup, which would be done as a means of keeping the price down. Now we have yet another report suggesting the same thing, adding more fuel to the fire.
This report comes from Ran Avni, who runs the 3D concept channel ConceptsiPhone. He shared a new rendering of a box insert for the iPhone 12, which he claims comes from a “really reliable source.” The rendering, which you can see below, shows a circular area for the USB-C to Lightning Cable and a square area for paperwork and stickers.

As you can tell for yourself if you’re a regular iPhone owner, there is no room here for EarPods or a Power Adapter, which points to them not being included at all this time around. While this may sound insane to many, reports suggest that Apple is hoping that most regular owners wont mind as they surely already have at least one Power Adapter and pair of EarPods. For new users, though? You’re out of luck.
Of course, this news needs to be taken with a grain of salt for the time being, considering that it isn’t the official word from Apple. However, we’ve gotten several reports at this point suggesting that EarPods and Power Adapters are out this year, so it’s something we’ll continue to keep an eye on. As always, we’ll bring you more information as soon as it becomes available.
