The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2017 is only days away, and everyone’s excited. Presenters and participants alike can’t keep still as nerves continue to escalate. The 3-day event promises to be a delight, and there are a lot of reasons to think so.
During this gathering, different video game behemoths will be gracing the occasion. While every company brings out the big guns, it is expected that an all-out skirmish among PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo will ensue. As such, it is going to be another episode of console wars for the books.
How are these giants preparing for the momentous face off? Each of them will definitely whip out eye-popping surprises for the fans, but first they must secure spectators both onsite and online. Enticing people in the venue is easy, but the offsite audiences will need more prompting. Which of them has the more effective strategy?
PlayStation hooks E3 2017 fans with rewards
SIEA Social Media director Sid Shuman has encouraged online viewers to stay tuned to E3 2017 via live.playstation.com. He detailed in a PlayStation blog post that great things await those who use this medium. Through this portal, spectators can undergo quests and unlock freebies as a result. The prices range from gear and apparel discounts, video game packs, and new PS4 themes.
For interested participants, one must log in via PSN account and check the Quest panel often. As early as now, there are already quests available so feel free to check here. There will be limited supplies for the rewards, so those who are fond of free goodies should definitely make haste.
Xbox promotes a sense of community
PlayStation’s long-standing rival is not one to be left behind. It uses its various media to its advantage, primarily via its Mixer Channel. While Xbox provides a myriad of options, it also uses the community’s excitement.
To feed off the energy out of every Xbox fan, local Microsoft stores will stream the E3 celebration. This brings loyal Xbox aficionados together as they witness all the events in the venue. The presentation then carries over to more pumped-up audiences.
Nintendo E3 2017 is about content
Out of the three, Nintendo is the youngest in the console wars. Given that fact, the company must first focus on the titles for the Nintendo Switch, giving more reasons to buy the gaming hybrid. The presentation is available via livestream on their official website.
To increase hype for the Switch games, invitational tournaments will occur for “Splatoon 2,” “Pokken Tournament DX,” and “Arms.” With audiences tuning in, Nintendo may be aiming to further fire up interest for its handheld/ console.
The three video game companies are preparing for a clash, but who will win? Nobody knows for sure, but with all the treats and exhilaration, it is the players that are definitely winning.
